Long story short-
Had to drive cross country for business and will be gone for 2 months so... I stashed some of my smoke for the ride out. I double bagged it and put it in my stash box along with a dryer sheet (fabric softener) to hide the smell a bit. Big mistake. At the end of my three day drive I made it to my destination and pulled out the smoke, ground it up and packed a bowl...:crying: The dryer sheet fragrance completely penetrated the buds through the double bag and now its like I'm smoking a freaking dryer sheet. It's awful. I mean it's really bad.
So my question is, is there anyway to remedy this situation? Can I water cure it even though it's already been dried and cured to get rid of the odor/taste of the dryer sheet? Should I leave it out in front of a fan for some time? Any advice would be appreciated.
Pretty bummed :(

damn that really sucks robwars! The only thing i can think of is trying a water cure. It should flush out the dryer sheet just fine, you'll just have to wait out the drying process before you can smoke it again.

have you tried letting it air out to see if the smell goes away or is it embedded in there bad?

Jeez, that sucks but I can see how it would happen. I'm allergic to scents, especially cologne and perfume, so those dryer sheets would kill me.

Yes, do a water cure. That should get rid of the smell every effectively. Next time vacuum pack.

Hey man....I recently had to 'refresh' some of my weed that was stored poorly....I hung a coffee filter in the top of my jar with 3-4 apple slices...watched rh ...12 hours ....my very dry pot which tastesd awful was now rehydrated to 65% and ready to air dry for the vape! SOOOOO...try to overwhelm the dryer sheet pheno with some apple or citrus.....

I think I'm going to try and air it out next to a fan for 24 hours and see what it does before I try and water cure. And yes it is well penetrated with snuggle freshness... Barf!!!
Thanks Spels

Do you happen to have a link to a proper water cure? I've never done it before. It will be my last stitch effort since it will put my smoke out of commission for some time.

Ooooo I like your idea AutoMan, thank you. Do you put the apple slices in the jar (next to the buds) with the coffee filter where the lid usually is?

Robwars...I hang the apple slices in the coffee filter ABOVE the buds with lid keeping the filter up...I treated just over a qtr oz with 4 apple slices in a quart jar...a calibre RH meter with buds below....it saved my shit tasting buds..BIG difference using a VAPE...!!! Man a snuggle pheno MUST be rough...never tried that! LOL

I do have some good news though. One of my boys in town is stopping by later with some snuggle-free smoke for me.:D

Oh and by the way Muddy, I found all the info on water curing. You'll have to excuse my laziness, I've had a stomach flu for three days.
Thanks for the help everyone.
