what's up AFN? Been reading up on these things and sounds simple. (lol and I'm sure it is). I have one in happy frog now and germing 4 more in paper towls now. will end up with 3 in the happy frog one in ocean forrest and one in 50 50 mix. All in 3gallon bags and all unfemmed automatic white widdow from low life. going to try this in my closet under a switchable 250w setup with mh untill they show sighns of sex then hps. cal-max is the only nutes i have so far. going to add some bloom nutes when time comes. all I can think of at moment will put some pics up soon as i know how. ALL HELP, HINTS, TIPS, OR POINTERS WELCOME.

Welcome to AFN newautofan420....

Got the auto white widow, but haven't grown them yet. Can't wait to see how they turn out...Set up sounds good to...

I would start in a rooting cube or seedling compost first

Welcome to AFN. Couple of suggestions for you. Many have found that straight Ocean Forest is too strong for seedlings and have better results from the 50/50 mix with Happy Frog. I'd also recommend running the MH light through week 5 or 6. Even though autos show sex around week 3 they continue with strong vegetative growth through about week 6. Also feed veg nutes till you switch the lights, then start your flowering nutes. Good luck with your grow and looking forward to watching your progress.

I started 6 in rockwool cubes but only 1 sprouted. so now am trying the last 4 with the old paper towel trick.

I have heard mixed reviews on the ffof thats why I am trying out the happy frog and mix and thanx for the light and nute input. When should i start the veg nutes like week 2 or 3?

Did you soak your rock wool and then drain them with a PH'd solution? I've always hated rockwool for starting seeds. I even prefer Jiffy pellets over them. Rapid rooters are nice but a bit airy to start seeds in and can be problematic. Great for cuttings though! Using Happy Frog I'd start veg nutes around week 3 @ 1/3 strength.. Muddy may offer a different input but as I just noted in another thread HF has a reasonable amount of N in it which is the primary nutrient used during vegetative growth.

my advice was aimed for after the paper towel not instead of

I did use PH'd RO water not sure why only 1 of 6 sprouted.
