I just wanted to show off a little project I had been working on recently that kept me busy throughout the nights.

I am new to the DIY LED game and had been lurking for the most part of the last 5 years watching and learning through the wonderful world of the internet.
I call her the “Pineapple” 480W – (may add Sol-Strip bloom boosters in future)


- 6 Vero29SE D series 3000k 90CRI Gen 7 (full cycle grow light) (38v)
- 6 Ledil Wide angle diffusers
- 6 140mm Aluminium passive heat sinks (75W cooling) polished surface
- HLG-480-2100A Meanwell Driver (adjustable 1.05A-2.1A)
- 2 Weago connectors
- Aluminium L frame 25x25mm
- 10mm & 13mm split black corrugated conduit UV rated
- Weather proof box and Nylon glands
- Overall size was 600mm x 1000mm

Didn’t get a chance to document the build, however I did put up a few pictures of the Final product.
I was able to find both Information & inspiration from a whole bunch of places, and people have posted some great builds and guides both on forums and other places along with some great Videos on YouTube.
Highly recommend anyone who is looking to build their own have a good look around as there is a ton of information out there =)))

Thanks JP, they are doing quite a good job.
I just had a look at the VS 640, great piece of lighting, good luck on that project, she will turn out to be a weapon.

I don't mind the Idea of possibly adding Sol Strips later on down the track, or with a whole new design to go along with the COBs
