I would like to ask all vapouriser users to tell me their opinion on the following.

I tried an experiment recently. After grinding my herbs and loading my trusty Iolite vapouriser I decided to add 2 drops of water to the herbs. And the result is that I seem to get more stoned. I have tried it a few times and would like other vapouriser users to try this dutch-sauna technique.

Let me know what you think. maybe it is just me that thinks it.

Here is my theory. The water vapourises and expands in volume 1600 times and as it does so it accelerates the removal of the active cannabinoid compounds - steam distillation.
here is a wiki link if I am allowed to add that
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_distillation

The first few tokes on the vapouriser taste more moist. I wonder if the steam makes for more complete removal of the cannabinoids from the ground weed. Effectively producing a better 'high'.

Let me know what you think if you try it on your vapouriser. I will try and add a poll, which if you see working correctly you will know is because a kind moderator stepped in and helped.

Interesting idea Tony, I'll give it a try. I have to say I've pinched a few sample buds right off the plant and immediately put them in the vape. Of course the moisture content is very high coming right off the plant. The first hits contain a lot of moisture and I've not noticed any difference in the high.

I do the same thing to test my buds right off the plant. I haven't noticed any difference in the high, the taste and smell is different IMO.

If anyone is going to try this, use bottled water, or RO water. Tap water can have chlorine, and chlorimine, which is very bad for you to inhale.

What temp you set vaporizer to for off the plant test smoke?

My herb vapes the best without any extra moisture added. I keep my cure jars at 62% perpetually...when I grind it for use, I let it sit overnight to air dry a bit more....my daily vape...a MFLB works better with drier as does my EX Q....
I rarely if ever test a nugg before its time.....which is dried to 60-62% rh and cured for at least 10 days...now THAT is my test time!!!

Very true AM. But it's a tasting not the party. Party's in a few weeks. I'm just sampling to be sure how much I want to store for the next party and how much to keep for the near future.

In the end though I still have the same question. What would one suggest I dial in my old wood box vaporizer in C for a three day dried and one day jarred (with a burp) 60%rh'd new herb to dry and burn for best "just of the plant" test smoke?

my thinking here is that the steam released when water evaporates helps release ('steam distillation' effect) the cannabinoids quicker than the vapouriser would otherwise be able to boil them. Maybe it is just my imagination heh heh

Yes, steam can help open up the lungs to possibly absorb more, go hot box a steam room. I'd more go with the light headedness of the steam added to effects.

I've only ever found moist weed to burn like hell on the throat on way down. mflb is a low end vape so doesnt need more things to try heat up. dry weed just means you will get alot less hits. What you are looking for is dense/sticky bud, not wet! vaping is a good way to test the bud while still on tree as you can just take a few pre hits to lose the moisture.

If You would like to add some moisture, try some lemon or orange peel put in the bag/jar. adds flavour to those less desireable smokes.
