Thanks for every ones help last week on my over watering concerns. I went a little longer between waterings and it really helped. We are 16 days since germination and are doing a 18/6 light schedule with 4 plants under a 400w Halide (will switch to HPS soon). My question is one of my plants have a "curled" leaf (see the last 2 pictures) and I'm not sure why this is. The others dont seem to have this and I have been rotating every few days.Picture #5 is a close up of the leaf in question. Any comments or advice would be awesome!

I would not worry about the leaf curl yet. I have this quiet a bit. My current grow had the same leaf curl. Mine was from high nitrogen but other things can cause this. It could be something or it could be just fine. Not something I would worry over yet though. Plants look good. What type of soil and feeding are you doing.

I do see some yellow blotchiness or something starting but that could also be the lighting. All in all I think your doing good so far. I would keep doing what your doing. Keep us updated and pictures coming. Things look like there off to a good start so far.

Thanks Joe. I am using Happy Frog Organic soil and just started nutes yesterday . I am doing the Fox Farm regiment I found on here. I'm using up the last bit of the Fox Farms from my outside Photo plants. I actually just ordered nutes and soil from Aurora for my next grow, but these will be the last with Fox farms.

Yes there is a little yellow "blotchiness" on one was keeping an eye on it . Any thoughts on what it can be?

Well, each pheno. can be very different then the next and it might not like the same feeding either wanting less or more. Be careful using nutrients at full strength on Autos' to soon.. I tend to hold off until I see the first set of round "cotyledon" leaf's start to yellow showing the plant is starting to steal nitrogen from itself.. N is a mobile nutrient and the plant will always take what is needed from the bottom of the plant first.. I then start feeding 1/4 to 1/2 strength. After this once a week foods all other just water.. I agree with Joe, as long as it's growing fine don't do to much.. back off food a bit and see what it does... but this blotchy leaf curl could very well just be the phenotype since all your others look just fine.. And, if this strain has ANY Blueberry in it it's for sure the strain, BB is bad about this.. I've even had them split a leaf right down the center with one half dark green and the other half yellow and curling... LOL>

I seen where you said your switching to Aurora Foods.. I use the Buddha Grow/Bloom and most of their supplements, Earth Juice Cal n Mag and some others.. be sure to invest in Aurora's Surge and the Catalyst "Trinity", a must have. for extra blooming boosters I use the Buddha Bloom along with HPK & HP, however.. I find adding Big Bud along with this at like week 4 & 6 made a HUGE difference last grow. I try to stay organic but what a nice diff that one outside supplement made. For root feeding early on and stress reduction at transplant I use Thrive Alive B1 green.. All this I used in conjunction with Roots Organic Soil which to me is magic.. at the start you can mix this 50/50 with Coco/Coir and at transplant to flowering after sex is confirmed I go full strength soil.

Sorry I kept blabbing on.. hope it makes sense and helps ya a bit bro... cheers

Hey Cartman, I did 1/4 strength on the first and only feeding so far (yesterday). 3 of these plants are Northern Delights and the other is a Kabrales cheese (from Herbies). This is my first indoor grow so I'm a little bit on edge everytime I see something change. lol Yes my friend turned me on to the Aurora line , he switched from Fox Farms to these two grows ago and the difference is huge. So I'm excited to switch up my system and try something new! I got the Buddha grow, bloom, surge and Trinity all reccomened by everyone who is familar with Aurora products. Thanks for your input this page is a great reasource for info!

Be very carful feeding at this young age. I have used the Buddha veg and bloom a lot and it is great stuff. Something I use to use also was the Botanicare cal/mag plus. It is 2-0-0 and some times I did not need the veg nutrients at all when using it. I would use it lightly around week 2 and by lightly I mean about 1 teaspoon per gallon. The plants don't need much at this stage and are easily over fed when this young so be carful. Week 3 or around the time the first pistils show is when I usually started feeding nutrients which I also started off lightly, first feeding being about 1 teaspoon of veg to see how the plants respond and would slowly step it up. I would watch the lower leafs like Cartman is saying but I usually watched the leafs above the round lobe leafs, the single serrated leafs to start to turn yellow. I also paid attention to how dark green the leafs were as high nitrogen causes a dark green and eventually will cause some of the leaf tips to curl under like an eagle claw. Usually I fed the veg to about day at witch point I either mixed 50/50 with bloom for a week or 2 or just started feeding bloom. I only fed once a week and would water tell I had just a slight amount of run off to help wash out salt build up at least once a week as well. Some plants I watered tell run off every watering. Either way I would recommend this once and a while.
