This is day 39 for these two Critical 2.0's.

Just curious how these look. It's my second grow so on a learning curve 100% full time it seems. Learning something new every day.

These are in autopots with air domes. One pot was cut in half and I drilled holes in it to provide more air to the medium. Coco with 20% perlite. Remo nutes.

If anyone has any suggestions on anything let me know. Defoliate more. Supercrop. Etc.

This is the one in the stock, big autopot. It's 20 inches tall. And has grown tall and lanky. And it stretched a lot more than the other one. And it has a lot of bud sites. I think almost too many.

This is the short and stocky one in the smaller autopot. It is 18 inches.

Side by side shot. Left one is the shorter one, but its deceiving because its in a shorter pot. Need to add 6 inches of height to it in your head to get the right height perspective. Right one is in the stock pot. You can see it stretched a lot more. I guess the pot size difference has had some affect on the plant size as one would expect.

The plants look pretty good lunarman.

Personally, I would defoliate some of those lower leaves that are blocking the lower bud sites, but it's really preferential.

I will say that defoliating some of those lower leaves (and bud sites you don't think will develop in time) will tell the plant to focus its attention on the main colas and top portion of the plant.

What are your thoughts on the autopots? Are you using the 2-autopot system?

Hey @ChaoticGood I'm using the 1-pots. They are better for sure. Way more flexibility. I have 8 of them and two of the tanks/reservoirs so I can run a grow feed and a bloom feed at the same time. I tend to grows in pairs of the same strain and will spread them out over time instead of all 8 being on the same schedule. And I have autocob lights so I can hang my lights at different heights per plant. I have some that are flowering now (Critical's) some Sweetseeds on day 14 and some on day 5.

I love autopots. For many reasons. Air domes are great. Easy to water as in its self regulated. I know for sure not having to hand water has improved my grows. And I can leave them for days. I also like coco in the autopots.

I have so many bud sites on the criticals. I look at pics of other grows and a lot have a main cola and maybe 6 others. That's it. I have like 20 bud sites on each plant now. More on the bigger one. I can trying to figure out what to do about this. Wish AFN had a board just for plant training and pruning etc.

Read some material on groweedeasy.com and decided it would be a good time to defoliate again. I stripped out a lot of fan leaves from below and in the middle top of the plant. This really opened up the bud sites to more light. More than any LST could do. I tried to leave fan leaves that were part of a kola.

There is a lot less plant material now. Less bushy. More open.

Will see how these look in 3-4 days.

i would hedge my bets on the shorter plant being shortest because of the shorter pot.autos tend to like a deeper pot,the tap root lenght can have a bearing on plant height.
we may not have an lst section but plenty of threads hst/lst/topping/femming/scrog/sog loadsa people bend the bejesus out of their plants, cant be to hard to find, would they be in the stickies i wonder.

There are lots of journals that are also basically a tutorial on one type of plant training or another. I've read a lot of them. Found them by searching. I just thought if you have 4 boards on lighting, why not have one board for training. Seems to me training is as important if not way more important than lights.

true and good point.training should have a small corner somewhere for easy reference.
