Turkey Baster BHO

I've been looking into buying a turkey Baster for making bho. I'm sick of dealing with my glass tubes shattering. I know that a stainless steel turkey Baster will do the job but I'm wondering if anyone has ever experienced any issues using a stainless tube instead of glass. Has anyone ever used a turkey Baster/ stainless steel tube? Also in my experience making oil the larger the tube the better results I've gotten. Has anyone found any similar results or does everyone else just use little tubes and pack them tight? Also I'm wondering about the medicinal value of bho, does it extract just THC or does it also extract other cannas? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated

I started making bho using stainless I think glass gives me a better product I think the coarse steel slows the flow of the butane which in turn draws out more plant material , also I found any extractor larger then an inch and a half in diameter actually creates a lesser quality product so I stick to my smaller extractor . Also when trying to get the material back out of the baster is a pain in the ass ....also the steel i have to use a wrag or something wrap around the baster as its sticks to my skin when it gets cold . And I'm not positive but pretty sure it's extracting other things besides thc when they test bho it contains cbd , thcv etc :smokebuds:

Thanks slightly ive used both and gotten great results. i also tried pvc pipe my first time making it about 5 years ago haha, that was dumb how tightly do you normally pack your tube? I've heard a lot of people say stuff it full but I've only ever done small runs of like 7-14 grams of bud.

It's taken me some time to find the perfect tightness between not enough extraction and to tight where theres to much chlorophyll . The best way for me is to blow through the tube I like there to be some resistance but still be able to blow all the way through . And I find it doesn't matter if the tube is all the way full as long as you pack it tite enough it should just work its way toward the front of the tube from the butane pressure . When I pack it perfectly there is no reason to even run it again I just use my bubble bags and shake it out as soon as I am done running itbwhile its freezing still to get some great cooking grade kief :smokebuds:

That's a good idea :thumbs: I've been wasting all of my stuff left in the tube. I'll definitely have to at least throw it in a hash box afterwards. Just one more question, sorry to bombard you haha, what do you use for a filter? I'm leaning towards cheese cloth

Molly & I are using the 25 micron pressing screen that we got with our old bubble bag set up. Works really well.

No problem bro I have a 40 micron screen that came with my glass tubes but before that I used a coffee filter with a stainless mesh screen I cut out of a metal strainer for cooking :thumbs:
