After some advice.
First time grower. I found some seeds in some bud and thought why not try planting them. No idea what strain they are but they seem to be doing well. I just want to know if I should take off more fan leaves now they're flowering? Outdoor grow, planted late, June 15th and now I'm worried about the weather. Trying to crop before it gets too wet.
Thanks in advance.

Hey Bud,

Let me start by welcoming you to AFN!! :welcome:
Lot's of information to be found and loads of nice people who are willing to help a hand :toke:
That being said... It doesn't look ready yet. And I wouldn't remove leaves. There's enough space between the internodes for the leaves.
Mold is always an issue in an outdoor grow so check it regularly, but for now... Your good

Regards,

B

Thanks very much for the welcome, everyone seems very friendly and helpful.
I'll let the leaves be for now then. I've got some big polly bags I put over them to keep the rain off, I presume the condensation shouldn't be an issue. I don't really know how damp or wet the buds would have to be to rot.
Its crazy how much you care for them once you can see them flower :face:

Condensation is something you don't want brother. If possible try to keep the plant in the wind. ie, by opening the sides of the poly bag, creating some makeshift greenhouse...

What they said. A poly roof to keep the rain off helps, and when I did the last outdoor grow, I also added a fan in the shelter to blow on the plants to try to keep them drier. If in the morning you see water droplets on the tips of the tooth serrations, you are in serious mold territory and will need to keep a really sharp eye to catch it early enough to salvage what you can. You have at least a 2-3 weeks or more to go yet.

Mold defeated me until I started using Phyter/rotblock, but one of the failures might have done better if the fan had not died.

Good luck with it. :goodluck:

Hi Olderfart, thanks for the advice. I check them twice a day, I'll be paying more attention to moisture content that's for sure. Thanks again
