Good morning everyone,

Quick question I could not find an answer for using the search options...

Would trimming the edges (only the edges) of an autoflowers leaves to camouflage the plants outdoors amidst other potted plants, stress it too much? (This edge trimming would be steady throughout the life of the plant) Any Impact negatively to yield or stunt its growth......attached is a picture of how I have seen people trimming the leaves. This isn't necessarily high or low stress training since the leaves wouldnt be removed entirely.

Personally, I would not do it, but I will be interested if anyone here has actually tried it.

At minimum, you would be reducing the plant's ability to photosynthesize, but I expect the real downside to be worse than that. Every time you trim you would risk transmission of pathogens to the plant, especially outdoors. I expect that trimming leaves repeatedly over the growth period is also going to stress the plant, with consequences that could be significant, but I am not expert enough predict the specifics.

I watch with interest to see other's experience here. :pighug:

Thanks for the input, you bring up a valid point I had not considered the wounds being susceptible to disease especially being outdoors.

Go to local hobby and crafts store and buy cloth flowers and tie them to your plant! Had a friend do this in his front yard and everyone said it was a “very nice flowering shrub”

Thanks for the tip man, this would be in my backyard so that is definitely an option to consider.

Looks good to me Mario. Might want to add a couple of these when they start too flower.
