Just search for any 60x or higher loupe.. many cheap options that work well. I have a 420 scope and a this microscope camera that connects to my phone.

You can also use a macro lens on a digital camera. I used macro lens on a camera on a tripod to check my trichomes:

A big problem here is that getting a good image of the live plant can be tricky. Using a 60x loupe is kind of doable, but not easy because holding something that power steady enough to evaluate the trichome situation is hard to do. I also tried the Carson microscope, and it was even worse because the field of view is extremely small, and the image moves opposite to what you expect when you are trying to navigate.

A wireless or USB digital microscope like the one used by Nizmo would be my choice if I were in your position and did not already own a camera with a macro lens. Make sure that you get one compatible with your phone or computer. For example, Iphones as far as I know require a wireless wifi or bluetooth microscope, not one dependent on a usb connection.
