I'd be running them at 18-24" personally, those light do not have the power to be run a 48"! And according to Barney's Farm, these plants max out about 3ft tall. You should be able to scrog in about another week

A meter is really the only way to tell the sweet spot. In flower (if I am remembering correctly) they like 700+ ppfd with most running 800 - 1000 before co2 supplement. Veg is closer to 200-300. I have to run my lights at 2'-3' and at 30% in veg or I stress them out and bleach them. Yours don't look stressed at all so I think you have your height set pretty well.
You can increase stretch by increasing your far red to red ratio. I am adding this to induce faster sleep at the end of lights on for like 15 min. http://www.rapidled.com/far-red-initiator-puck/ It can also be used to increase the far red ratio. That puck covers a 3x3 I think.
They look great.![]()
I absolutely hate the unexplained lack of vertical growth I get with autos sometimes. I'm always wondering, did I stunt it, does have something do do with the intensity of my lights, is it some environmental or genetic aberration. So many possibilities and eventually I harvest the couple ounces it produces and move on hoping to get it right next time. :smoking:Thanks for taking a look folks.
I am baffled by the lack of vertical growth ( i know I sound like a broken record).
I've begun some LST to try and open up the center of the plants to let more light through.
I suppose they are of a type that even if they stay small and I can't scrog them, they will have some impressive tops none the less.
