I have two California lightworks Solar Storm 440's for a total actual output of 660 watts.

And I have it covering 27 plants. It's a real bona fide jungle and yet everything seems pretty happy.

I know it's probably "too many" but they all appear to be coming along nicely, no stretch and no deficiencies.

Thoughts?

They all look real nice but when you have plants so close together some of the lower buds won't get enough light and may turn out a little smaller than the ones that get full light.

Too many plants? Doubt it since people scrog as well. My preference would be not touching another plant, but space does not allow for that very often. I ran a couple of the Solarflares in the past and set those at full spectrum as soon as the germed seed was planted. Do you run the Solarstorms at full spectrum?

I Figure that might be the case. It'll be interesting to see how they finish up. If I get a load of larf off lower branches then I guess there's gonna be lots of edibles, LOL.

Last two plants I harvested from that setup yielded almost half a pound of very potent and dense buds. (And, surprisingly, zero larf!!!). :). So I'm optimistic.

But this is my first full room. So...... I'll find out within the next three weeks how things will go (or at least a real good idea since I've got about a dozen finishing within 3-4 weeks.

Yes, all the time full spectrum. It allows me to have large flowering plants right under them and young plants vegging beautifully on the outskirts.

I rearrange the plants regularly so they get light from all angles and so that there is good light hitting everything as equally as I can get it.

I had these lights for awhile before realizing their true power. I was frying the hell out of plants with them. These 5w LED's have incredible penetration and depth. They veg like champs six feet away from the canopy.
