Harvest & Curing To Chop or Not To Chop? 60 Days? Closer to 75? Please Advise...

Hey guys. As some of you all know I have some Snow Ryder going right now and they are at Day 49. This is my first auto grow. Second grow ever so I still don't know what I'm doing. I've been better this grow and I don't want to screw things up and wait too long to harvest.

This is my question... As I've read on other threads in this section of the forum I've seen Thai Buddha Man and FullDuplex agree that 60 days isn't long enough. Or rather 60 days from Pre Flowers. My Snow Ryders are flowering like crazy right now and it seems like they are just really starting to take off when "in theory" I'm supposed to be harvesting in a week and a half. It seems like they need longer... I know go by the Trichs but seriously these girls are still getting new growth. I don't want to stunt my yields! What should I do? Wait another two weeks or just go by the individual plants? I know you should flush (or not rather FLUSH but water with pH'd water and no nutes...) for the last two weeks is it?? Thanks guys for any help in advance. They girls looks so great I don't want to screw up so I appreciate any help!

My snowryders i chopped at 10 weeks from seed sprout. Some even went 80 days.

They swell the most in the last 2 weeks.

The best advice i can give you is go by what the plant is telling you. The breeder harvest times are based on a perfect grow. Some times we don't do as well and add a week.

The hairs will mostly die, and the trichs will look really cloudy. The calyxes will also start to swell. These are all signs she is ripening.

O.K. Sweet! So my gut feelings were essentially correct. So I should kill the nutes and just plain pH water around week 8 or 9 til week 10 or 80 days? Sounds good Bailer!! I will also pay attention to the plants as I can see from my grow as well as others that autos really go by individual PLANT than anything. They all have their own personalities... I have one that is going to be a monster and one just behind her and a third just behind her lol so they look like steps in the closet. Thanks very much for the info.

When i use bottled nutes on a grow i like to do at least 3 good rinses with water. So if that takes a week or 2, that's what i do. Starting a week from your expected finish date should be ok.

When i use organics i'll just give them plain water for a week, with just one rinse of the soil.

How much i flush depends on what i used to grow the gals! I love a nice white ash, so i am picky about it.. I really rinse my soil if i am in doubt.

I hear ya on the white ash! That's what I'm striving for. I hate that black stuff that wont burn... I've been using Humboldt Nutrients Organic Program (Grow Natural, Bloom Natural, Honey ES, and DeuceDeuce) with Ocean Forest soil. Black Strap Molasses in between feedings with the pH'd water. I'm down to the Bloom Nat., Honey ES, and just added DeuceDeuce (0-0-22) to add a potassium boost to the mix. I'll go by your advice and water with plain water for the last week then. Thanks very much for your help man.

Kudos for putting this site together and for all the back breaking work you do to keep on it. I know it must be a load for one person. Appreciate all your hard work and help.

get yourself a magnifying glass atlest 8 times strength and watch your trichs. ill try to find the video on the trichs for you, but when your close to what the breeder says about harvest then start looking at your trichs. sum ppl like the heads to all be bout20 percent amber and 80 % milky white, or if you want to wait til you get bout 50/50 then take them but most dont have the patiences lol. id wait a, lil longer but then again im older and hurtting all the time, i like the trichs to be mostly amber to get that couchlock feeling lol.
