Time in darkness

A friend is near the end of his grow and he was told to put into darkness for 48-72 hours to get better buds more potent at the very final stage

Is this good practice?

I couldn’t find much at a quick glance

this isn’t for auto they femanised amnesia strain

FWIW doesn’t really matter whether it is a auto or not and I do not do a dark period before chop they get dark when there hanging upside downI believe this is one of those debated topics with not a lot of science to back it up hope that hopes some

Thanks for reply, as far as I understand or have been told is that a long duration in dark at the end of the growing period the plant will draw up everything from the soil through the roots and it generally makes the buds better

if it’s true or not and if there is a genuine science behind it I don’t know

thanks for this, I agree with the the comment on your link that it’s a bro science

the dark period was over , my friend said it’s not worth it , also one of the buds developed a slight mould

he said now I’ve been there done that and moved on

that won’t be happening again …..
