During the grow season getting 24 hrs of light, 10 hrs direct sun a day; green house is on South side of cabin so when sun transits around to the North green house is in the shade. Get 7 months of strong production from solar panels, I get 90 days to grow in the green house. During winter sun goes behind southern ridge and comes back about 35 days later, get 4 hrs of usable outdoor light at solstice, although if it's overcast pretty dark and murky out. Only about 30 miles north of the arctic here. Up in Barrow they get 3 months dark!
