New Grower Thoughts on auto sog

Grow area is 2×3×7 strain is northern lights auto from seedsman wanting to use 1 gal poly bags in 1020 trays 8 to a tray with 2 trays I have a 400 hps but think with my small space I'll use my aglex cob led pulls 250 from the wall from what I remember

Sounds fun I run a similar set up. I have a 2x4x5 and use different pot sizes from 3 gal to 1 gal. I usually fit between 10 to 12 plants in with the different pot sizes. I actually prefer the 1 gallon pots when cramming them in they grow more vertically with less outward stretching than in the 2 or 3 gallon pots and I usually get very similar yields I've never used seedsman seeds but I get roughly 6 to 8 oz every 70 to 90 days with a sea of green style grow. I use 3 1000 watt full spectrum LED lights and some small supplemental side lighting total draw from the wall is roughly 470 true watts. My biggest problem at the start was getting the right genetics. I had trouble finding genetics that were stable that would all finish in the 70 to 90 day mark. If they take too long to go through their stages the 1 gallon pots could get root bound and cause health issues with the plants also if they veg too long obviously 16 plants wont fit in ur space so you will want to know your genetics. What you going to use for ventilation? Are you growing in a grow cab or is it a home made set up?

I have grown them before but dwc in 3×3 got tired of buckets wanna try sog so should stay pretty small. The area is a tent 4 in for vent with carbon filter ordering poly bags and trays soon as possible ffof perlite and black gold

I also have a pound of nature's living soil autoflower concentrate but nervous on using it as they've always been sensitive

The problem is consistency from pheno to pheno. A good SOG can only use clones to maintain proper height and consistency because it is the same plant rather than several phenos with different attributes.

You have enough space for 20-24 clones but I don't see the point of A SOG for autos. It was intended to be used with shorter, faster flowering strains to reduce time and maintain fast turnout with perpetual growing.
