Just wondering if it is ok to dry buds in my garage where the temps range from 30f-40f and the RH ranges from 35-40%.

the cooler the better for drying buds... you want it at a cool temp so they can dry as a slower rate... having the temps high will cause them to dry much to fast resulting in a hey type smell and taste to your buds

my closet is around 65F to 70F. can i leave the fan on to got the temp down?

65-70 is fine for drying...I dry mine in my home where I keep temps in that range......I built a large closed tub with a 120mm fan drawing air accross the buds and pushing the exhaust into my tent where the carbon filter handles all odors......you'll still get a hay-like smell but curing will bring those good smells back if done correctly...good luck!

I like the fact you're using the whole plant mass this will slow the de-hydration time and starches will be broken down into sugars in the process. However if you choose to dry in the light then you'll likely enhance the chloroform concentration.. :help: Placing the product in darkness to dry will lead to decomposition of the chloroform - this will lead to a smooth cure and help eliminate undesirables
