This is taken from a mixed multi-strain grow that I did a couple of months ago. The seeds were won as a prize from the Autoflower Network for winning the POM comp in Nov 2016. Thanks again to @Waximus for that!

As I don't see many reviews for Toofless Alien, I thought I should put it up here on the Mephisto thread.

Toofless Alien is from their Limited Edition range, a feminised F1 hybrid between two of Mephisto's favourite strains - Ripley's OG x Toof Decay. The Ripley's OG influence amps up the Toof Decay yield, giving heavy lung expanding smoke. She has a combination of terpenes unique to both the parent strains, the dankness of the Ripley's OG now wrapped up in a candy coated shell, and will also take 9-10 weeks to harvest.

I have a cheap old 1.4m x 1.4m wide 2m high Seahawk tent, but the roof has been strengthened with some heavy duty mesh. I have an assortment of LED units, all from the same UK supplier, and for the Alien, I'm gonna use 2x Skyline 400W units.

I grow with Coco and Airpots, using House and Garden Coco nutrients and their entire range of additives:

  • Drip clean (throughout the grow to reduce nute build up in the Coco).
  • Roots Excellurator - 0.3ml/L throughout the grow (except when giving PK 13-14).
  • Multizyme - breaks down dead root material converting them into easy to process nutrient.
  • Nitrogen 27% - to tweak the N intake during veg.
  • Amino Treatment - basically Silicon so only used in veg.
  • Algen Extract - a kelp extract used for micro-nutrients during flowering. It is also great for heat stress.
  • Bud XL - flowering additive used throughout bloom.
  • Top Booster - basically PK 13-14 with added Iron.
  • Top Shooter - a late flowering booster (PK 20-9).

I also use Advanced Nutrients Bud Ignitor (around week 6), Bud Candy (during flowering) and Flawless Finish (for a clean quick flush).
Cal Mag is essential in my opinion, and I now use the Grotek brand as it has an NPK ratio of 2-0-0 compared to my old Bloom brand which was 5.2-0-0. This will keep their height under control later in the grow as they flower.

I use 20L airpots filled with Coco (Canna Coco Professional Plus). The pH is buffered so that makes life a little easier, and there's added trichoderma.

I start with EC 0 rainwater, add 0.2ml/L Cal-Mag and then A&B to make EC 0.5. Finally I add Roots Excellurator and Nitrogen to make up an EC 0.7 nutrient solution adjusted to pH5.8.

My germination method is very reliable, I don't soak seeds, nor do I leave them in moist tissue paper etc.... I just plant the seed directly in the fully soaked Coco, 2cm deep, cover with clingfilm and top with some thick cardboard to prevent light entry. I leave the pots under a couple of high positioned lights (for warmth) and usually 48-72 hours later the seedlings pop up. This way is more natural and way less stressful for the new seedlings. 48 hours from fridge to sprout is pretty good!

In this case, the Toofless Alien popped first about 40 hours after planting. I am only using one of the Skyline 400W LED units for the moment.

Here she is on day 3...
day 3 TA.JPG

.... and on day 6.....

day 6 TA.JPG

By day 11 she was already 15cm high....

day 11 TA2.JPG

She was on an EC 0.7 feed, made up of 0.2ml/L Cal Mag in EC 0 rainwater then split into 2 buckets so I can dose out 0.3ml/L of A in one and the same of B in the other, then mix the 2 buckets together. Add 0.1ml/L Drip clean and 0.3ml/L Roots Excellurator, and finally 0.2ml/L Nitrogen. Adjusted pH to 5.8.

Lights have been lowered to around 75cm, and they're on 22 hrs a day.... off for 2 hours during the midday heat.

By day 16 she was flying away. I had changed the feed EC to 0.8, same as the last feed but with 0.3ml/L Nitrogen instead of 0.2ml/L, and I started adding Silicone (Amino Treatment) at 0.1ml/L (and I'll increase it by 0.1ml/L every week while in veg).....

day 16 TA.JPG

Hers she is on day 20....

day 20 TA 1.JPG

By day 25 she was about 30cm high and roughly as wide. I had removed some of the huge fan leaves from the main stem to allow the side branches to get more light and develop more quickly. She's now on an EC 1.0 feed the same as last week, just with the usual 0.1ml/L increase in Nitrogen and Silicon. She likes about 4 Litres a day, an increase from the 3 of previous weeks, so I expect her to take off soon! Once those branches get a little bigger, Ill stake her out a bit. Here she is day 25....

day 25 TA.JPG

and again on day 28.....

day 28 TA 1.JPG

As you can see I have started to stake her out as she was getting very thick foliage. I also gave her a trim underneath...

day 28 TA 2.JPG

What I have noticed is that removing those main stem leaves has slowed down the growth of the main stem itself.... it's healthy but it would be taller now if I had kept the leaves I'm sure of that. On the other hand, the side branches have really grown, they are almost as thick as the main stem, and have grown to the same height as the main stem.... so rather than a Christmas tree I'll hopefully have a flatter hedge with a nice even canopy.

She's a thirsty one, wanting 5-6 litres a day now, so I have upped her feed to EC 1.0 by adding a touch more A&B (now at 0.4ml/L) and the Nitrogen and Silicone are increased to 0.4ml/L as well.

By day 34, the Toofless Alien was settling into early flowering, so she had a lovely wide even canopy....
day 34 TA1.JPG

She's 45cm high and 65cm wide, and on a EC 1.0 feed made up of Cal Mag (0.2ml/L) and base nutes (0.35ml/L) to EC 0.4, Nitrogen at 0.4ml/L, Silicon at 0.5ml/L plus the usual additives of Multizyme (1ml/L) Roots Excellurator (0.3ml/L) and Drip Clean (0.1ml/L). She drinks around 6-7L a day!

She's taking up a bit of space now, so I am going to add another Skyline 400W unit for her to bask in.

By day 41, she's 53cm high and 75cm wide and looking great, choc full of flowering sites.....
day 41 TA 1.JPG

She's well into flowering now, so I have her on a EC 1.0 mix, keeping everything the same as last week, except I have reduced nitrogen from 0.5ml/L to 0.35ml/L and added Bud Ignitor at 1ml/L. The Bud Ignitor from Advanced Nutrients has an NPK of 0-1-2. She drinks a good 6-7L a day.

I also gave her a good tidy up downstairs and adjusted her stakes to open her up a bit more now that she's stretching up a bit. She went from 43cm high to 53cm in a week!

Thanks for reading so far, I will finish off later!

On with the grow. Now on day 50, and the Toofless Alien is storming away, moving up from 53cm to 63cm and now 82cm wide....
day 50 TA 1.JPG

She's on an EC 1.0 feed made up of 0.2ml/L Cal Mag in EC 0 rainwater then 0.7ml/L A&B bringing the basic EC up to 0.7, additives are the usual Drip Clean (0.1ml/L) and Roots Excellurator (0.3ml/L), along with Multizyme and Bud XL (both at 1ml/L) and Bud Candy (0.5ml/L). I'm still giving a hint of Nitrogen (0.2ml/L) but Ive stopped Silicone. She gets through 6-8 Litres a day.
The Skyline light is penetrating deep into her thick foliage and it looks like there's gonna be some lovely big buds on her!
day 50 TA 3.JPG

Here's a closer look...
day 50 TA 2.JPG

I gave PK 13/14 from day 54 for 4 days, keeping the EC at 0.9, then stopped the PK13/14 and introduced Top Shooter at 0.5ml/L, still at EC 0.9.

Here she is again on day 60......
day 60 TA 1.JPG

..... and again on day 64......

day 64 TA.JPG

.... and a closer look at her main cola.....
day 64 TA bud 1.JPG

By day 69 she was getting on with packing on weight.....
day 69 TA 1.JPG

By day 76 I was playing the waiting game. I have been keeping the EC around 0.9 to 1.0 the whole way now, with Top Shooter at 0.8ml/L....
day 76 TA 1.JPG

day 76 TA 2.JPG

day 76 TA 3.JPG

I started a flush on day 83 using AN Flawless Finish and chopped her on day 89.

Here's a 3 day old trimmed stem showing how thick and solid the buds are.....
TA 4.JPG

I dried the stems by hanging them in a few boxes like this........

TA 1.JPG

After they were sufficiently dry, I jarred them with Boveda 62 packs, and got them to a constant RH 62%. I let them cure for a month and now I have the final weight........

7.23Oz (204.97g)

I am well happy with that haul for one plant.

I have been smoking some while posting this thread, and its really true..... initially very dank, diesel, then after a few more draws your lips and tongue taste of tingly sweet candy! The stone is good as well...... great for anytime of the day...... my (bloodshot) eyes are barely open and life is good!!! This is gonna taste even better in a few more months..... I just hope it lasts that long!

I have saved the trichome rich sweetleaf trim and popcorn to make some Canna coconut oil, I'm really looking forward to that!

I am about to start another run, and I will definitely plant another Toofless Alien!
She was easy to grow and rewarded me with loads of sticky sweet fat buds!
If you get a chance, I would highly recommend giving her a try :)

Thanks for reading and good growing karma to you!

Thanks for the rep points @mephisto I am just having a morning smoke with some Toofless Alien right now and my mouth is tingling away like I have just brushed my teeth!

Can you give me the OK for a Mephisto badge please?

@Teetee If you do a smoke report under the first sub form on the main Mephisto screen and tag Rebel (put the @ in front of his name), link this grow & he'll get you sorted with a badge.
