So I ordered a new ph tester and it turned out to be a tds meter. I never really paid attention to tds but I'm trying to grow as a grower. Any recommendations on the level your Ppm should be for autos?

My issue back in the day was trying to follow the feeding chart only to see my ppm skyrocket even on the smaller amounts you started with. To reduce down to the right ppm you'd need to give a quarter what they suggest. Made me feel like I wasn't doing anything and shorting my ladies.

Well before I went organic 400ppm to 600ppm was where 90% of the plants I've grown wanted. Tds/ec is a great way to see how much ur plants actually are feeding.

With autos, that is what you should be starting when it's time for nutrients, 1/4 and work up from there.

What medium are you growing in? I use an EC/TDS/ppm meter (same thing) very often for coco. It's a far more accurate way to measure my nutrient mix than "a half teaspoon of this, a teaspoon of that". It's also useful for measuring coco runoff, to check for salt buildup. I'm not sure how useful that is for measuring soil runoff, though.

I'm in autopot setup now, happy frog soil.

What I'm saying is that whatever is recommended, at any time of growth seems needs to be knocked down to a quarter of what the instructions say. If I make the recommended amount I wind up with ppm in the 1800s or higher.
