Captains Bong-10/28/16- This is my Super Closet/Kind LED Rant...TO HELL WITH SUPER CLOSET AND KIND LED. Puttin them on "blast" right now lol, I know it is my fault for falling into the scheme that is the "Turn KeY" grow box, well I was desperate I had just moved back into a apartment and I needed something that looked like it was just a dresser or cabinet and had good odor control for some reason the first thing that popped up was a company called Cabinet Grow, well I tried and tried to get ahold of them but to no avail. Then I find Stupid Closet or Super Closet which ever you want to call it (I prefer Stupid Closet.) I call and this guy in Californie probably a part time porn star talks me into buying a 2 grand piece of shit black storage cabinet with some holes cut in the back a locking door and a 700 dollar LED..... oh and some fans and filters that don't work worth a shit...wait there's more and some "elbows" for "air intake" that a damn rat could not get into let alone air. Mind you this was a hydro "UNIT" I had all the hydro shit taken out and "converted" it to soil. Which basically means they shipped me a black storage locker, 2 PC fans that pull probably 150 cfm each and the little carbon filters, a box of HYDRO nutes, 4 T5 lights,and finally the 659$ Kind LED K3 L300 oh and a belkin power strip which was probably the best thing in the package. For 2 grand I was expecting this thing to have a green or gold aura glowing around it when I unboxed it... Instead I got a locker with a big ass dent in the top where a forklift had came down on it as soon as I see the dent I call Peder, took some pics of the damage and mail them to him and he swears it is just cosmetic and that I could send it back but it would take awhile so I say to hell with it and just keep it he gives me a 100$ refund so I am happy for the moment.. OK the first grow I did in this was 2 Red Poison and a Mohan Ram Auto, right off the bat there were heat issues with the Kind 300, in a cold as hell basement the temp in the cab at all times was around 85/87 degrees because the shitty fans and filters did not have enough pull to suck the heat out or control smell as I ran 2 big buckets of ONA gel with fans at all times. Well I made it through and the Red Poison and Mohan turned out pretty good but by no means do I think it was because of the Cab it was because of all the back breaking work I did every day to make sure shit was not over heating and there was not stress coming to the plants. After the first grow probably 4 months the Kind 300 shocked the hell out of me literally my arm touched one of the brass fitting hangers and it shocked my arm.. So I sent the light back to swap it out and replaced it with my BlackStar 240 and continued on to my Swiss Cheese auto grow, mind you with the BlackStar 240 not one time did I have a issue with heat. Ok after about a 2 weeks I get the Kind 300 back and it literally looked like it had not been touched and it still shocked the hell out of me literally so instead of putting it back in there I just do the Swiss Cheese with the BlackStar and all is well. Let's move on shall we the next grow I did was a Pheno the YumBolt-47 and I used the Kind despite it still having the live fitting it made it through and once again I BUSTED my ass daily to make sure heat was getting out and fresh air was getting in.. The cabinet did nothing on its own but sit there at this point I am getting ready to move out of the apartment and back to where I was living before well I get to said destination, first thing I do is set up my 2x2.5x7 Gorilla Tent with Mars 400 everything with it runs and works perfect, so I decided to drag the 2 grand locker up 2 flights of steps and get it setup... Well I get it setup and put a Sweet Seeds Black Cream in to finish germmin after it pops I turn the Kind on and guess what.. I shit you not in a matter of 5 minutes of the Kind being on the temp in the cab is 100 degrees and it has fully heated the room up to about 85/90. So once again I say fuck this and take the Kind out and the BlackStar 240 saves the day again. I called yesterday and really started complaining about the Kind 300, I had to take 9000 pictures of it and submit a RMA form and I am now waiting on it to be approved (assuming they do) to get a NEW KIND L300 because they will not refund my money..For new growers please do not make the same mistake I did and fall into these bullshit schemes, there may be some good companies out there but Super Closet is not one of them and if your buying just a LED I would choose ANY of the MARS or Black Star series they are cheaper and run ALOT cooler and there are probably more good brand LED's that are not near as expensive, a Kind K3 L300 (300 watt) is just pushing 700 bucks and in my opinion is a PoS when the Mars 2 400 I just got was 180$ and runs perfect with no heat issues.
