Hi all, started a new grow Purple Lemonade, been watering up until this AM, with distilled water (i had a gallon left so i figured id use it) I started feeding today using Blue Planet Nutes, thats not the issue as i just started feeding today. Growing in Soil also. My leaves are like brownish on the tips. PH is at 6.4 now with the nute mix, but i never bothered to ph the distilled. The plant isnt even that big so im not sure what this can be. See the pic. Thank you

Stop feeding nutes until plant is larger, spots could be nute burn.

I just started feeding this am these were there before feeding.

I personally would use bottled spring water, as I want the trace minerals and elements in my soil... Also be very careful when watering in this stage, it is so easy to overwater a seedling that is developing roots and causing multiple issues, this is one of the most common mistakes and one that I make from time to time....And I agree with the stop feeding, or this problem will probably get worse....

yeah not sure why i even used the distilled, i just had it, but ok ill stop the feeding, i was going by what they recommended.

The image I posted above is a seedling watered with just bottled spring water and some microbe inoculants and no feed..

Distilled water is supposed to be PH 7.0 but I have tested it as high as 8.0 so you should be checking it as well as any other bottled water.

With distilled water or other 'pure' water, it may be difficult to measure pH, or the readings may not be all that consistent and useful. If it's bought as distilled water, just treat it as that, add your nutes and then adjust pH as needed.

Yes, pure water has pH = 7 (theoretically). But distilled water will have dissolved CO2 (forming carbolic acid), and will normally have pH about 5.8.

I just basically started with distilled until yesterday when I started feeding with normal tap water. No more distilled for me.
