since stores seem to have their own brand of everything, i was wondering about cfl lights. can they be used if the lumens and kelvins are within the needed range? (if they're anything like baby formula, they'd be from a brand name company and sold to the stores for use as their brand)

Home depot
has these 300 equivilent, 65 actual watts, 2700K

6 of those gave me this girl.

When I did the 32 oz grow comp I basically used the same lights as Auto except mine came from Lowe's. Cost me like 10 dollars a bulb I think though

12 dollar here.

Generally the main advantage of buying say a CFL from a hydro store is they tend to sell the very large ones as well that say Home Depot might not carry. As for them being the same most likely there just rebranded.

Kinda like LCDs theres only like 4 LCD factories on the planet everyone else rebrands there stuff. Like I read that Kraft supplies Walmart with there Walmart Branded Cheese.

i'm on a very tight budget, so i'm looking to pay about that much for a box of bulbs lol. also found all that stuff is a lot more expensive in canada (or using canadian funds).

For vegging walmart carries GE brand 4pack of 23 or 26w (forgot) that are 6500k perfect for vegging ;)

found some at canadian tire. same brand as walmart, but less a bulb. also grabbed an ottlite since it was about the only single bulb they had. noticed a huge difference in light quality and my girl loves it.
