Oooops missed the word plastic? I do not recommend plastic for storage. Food grade maybe but I would not do it.

Yes, some of the more volitile terpenes will evaporate and some THC will degrade to CBN. This is a slow process. I am assuming for some reason you will not have access to burp them? If you can burp them the process is even slower. I have had bud for 3 years that was not like new but certainly consumable. 6 months should be no problem.

Grove Bags is a new consumer product out you need to look at. They are an approved AFN Vendor.

The plastic yoghurt pots are food grade and do not cause the yoghurt to taste different so why would it taint the buds ?

Yeah but you don't want yoghurt on your bud it'd be all sticky and gross.

Always heard not to use plastic, static and sweating is what I've read are the issues with it. Glass mason jars are easy and cheap to store in. Make sure to store in a cool dark place.

Error on the side of caution.

Stainless steel containers will certainly do any storage job well, and are infinitely more fail-safe compared to glass. Common kitchen containers should work. Grove bags and or 'food grade' metal foil laminated bags are also good candidates.

Rigid air-tight 'food grade' plastic containers are perfectly fine in my view to store buds long-term, or store anything else that is not wet or fluid. I presume these toxicity concerns about plastic containers are more related to leaching or what diffuses out when liquids are put in. If you use plastics to hold wet food or drinks or handle flexible plastics (relatively oozing plasticizers), you certainly shouldn't have any concerns about rigid "food grade" plastics somehow contaminating buds.

I'll second grove bags. They have zip lock lick closure and you can seal end of bag with heat as well. Should easily keep your stuff in tip top shape for that long.
