Outdoor Stopping Slugs & Snails

First time I have seen these strawberry (auto) slug mats, I was looking for nematodes and found these at the same time. I think they could work really well with growing outdoors autos and photos, I have lost countless seedlings to slugs & snails

just put ring of lime around the plant..they wont cross it. correct me if im wrong

Cool. I wonder how effective they are? I have more issues with slugs on lettuce, they seem to love it. They have not bothered my mj plants. But salt is much more fun!

would think salt or lime could back fire with your plant, have a look for those blue slug pellets

Slugs

Don't use salt, will seep into the rootstock through precipitation. I use finely crushed eggshells, can't beat it, just put a circle around the plant.

I use slug bait (pellets) . But also use beer! I cut a tin can at 1/3 from the bottom , place it in a hole by the plant , pour a bit of beer in it . Voila! Dead slugs .

Escar-Go is a good one . Non toxic for animals etc

Same here, always used beer and it works perfect. I never used a tin can though, generally I use a soup bowl.
