Indoor Starting a new grow journal!!

What up guys!
Im setting u a new grow much larger than my current one, it will be taking place in an attic, im gonna order some b&w poly to partition off the attic, a 400w hps to grow 4 plants in 12" pots... To deal with the heat we have a window a/c unit to cool the room and light off and a 4" duct fan to suck fresh air in from a room in the house...
Im just wondering if a 400w hps is overkill for the 4 plants? Its 3 dollars more than a 250w so i figured it would be good... The rooms about 6ft tall but the cielings on an angle,

Hey man glad to see you have a new grow space going. Why not just grow 6 instead? Either way I think you're fine man. Just don't cook the seedlings with that hps. Maybe grab a small T5 unit to start the babies on. Just my two cents.

I used a 400 for my three and I am really happy with the results, do have anything to suck air out of the attic? That light will heat up the area, I would test it at full blast before putting my plants in there.

Yeah squid i have a small 1 bulb T5HO to start them with, thanks for the tip!
We have a pretty good a/c unit just for the grow space plus a 4" duct fan to suck air into the space, the air will just escape into the rest of the attic through a vent because smell isn't really a factor, Were probably gonna do as many plants as we can in the space but just to keep it simple were probably starting at 4,
