My CBD OG Kush (photo)is getting some yellowing on the newest growth across the plant - on every top. Some of the top fans also show some slight yellowing that starts at the base of the leaf and progresses forward towards the tip; but the yellowing doesn’t reach past the halfway mark. The older fan leaves all look great. There IS a little purpling of the petioles on the yellowing fans. Trying to figure out what it is, if it’s just not the way this particular chemotype grows.

Medium: Soil with plenty of amendments. PH at 6.5
Fed weekly with MC and Roots Organic HPK in RO water ph’d to 6.3. MicroBlast used every 2 weeks along with Recharge and Mammoth P. Bi-weekly watering with molasses. GH CaliMagic added with all water.

Vegged under T5 and has been hardening in the 600w LEF flower room for the past 5 days. Gradually been increasing the number of hours she’s been exposed to the LED Symptoms appeared BEFORE I flipped her to 12/12.

Any suggestions as to what’s going on? I’ll bet @Waira is gonna roll his eyes to see another thread from me. Lol! C’mon brother, work your magic for me again!

We’ll see. I gave her a strong Foliar feed of MicroBlast with Transport. I’ve been feeding her MicroBlast as pert of her regimen but it’s possible. The symptoms certainly seem consistent with a Fe deficiency. Thanks for the suggestion!

MC should have plenty of micro nutes to feed. You may want to double check ph of medium. Seems fe and zn are first to lock out with high ph. Just noticed this in my grow and fed 5.5 ph to bring it back down. I'm guessing i used to much ca and it's drifting up.

:pass: hey bud, did they show this kinda suddenly? Sometimes the early growth can show light in color just like that, especially if they are growing fast, but usually deepen as the leaf matures,... That said, if it worsens, then it's for sure Fe defc.... Time for that Earth Juice Microblast (did you get that or something else?).... Of course, I'll ask about in-pot pH -- if it's 6.8+, it's likely a lockout... if OK, plain lack-of, so dose soil and do foliars; use a wetting agent for sure, get undersides of leaves... probably already mentioned this, but Optic Foliar Transport + micronutes foliar will wail on any immobile nute defc.!

Yeah, it popped up quick and I kinda figured it was just new growth; but given all the issues with that one plant of mine, I’ve been keeping a much closer eye on this one. I jumped on the 1st sign. I did the MicroBlast with Transport as soon as @Slick Rick said maybe Fe. It’s fading away some but I don’t know if it’s the MicroBlast/Transport or just natural greening. She’s growing so well it’s hard to know which one is the cause. Lol.

I would agree on fast growth if the leaves weren't dropping down in fingers. But it went from 6/7 finger to a 5 finger then new brighter growth drops of to a funky mutated leave. My money is saying def or soil ph high. But with foliar helping but not totally tells me it's ph. I just had similar issues

DTOM, have a gander at the Fe defc. pics in the Pic Depot,... this will give you some idea what it can look like... usually that "palms out" yellowing is diagnostic for it, but that new growth color lightness follows the exact same pattern on a much lesser scale, but they can look similar early on!.... if your soil pH is OK, been adding micro's weekly, then stop the OF foliars for a bit and see if color keeps improving,... immobile nute defc.'s can be a bitch to fix sometimes!

@Waira Whatever it was, she’s recovering nicely now. Wow, is it ever nice to type those words, for a change! She’s 11 days into flower and coming along nicely! Praying for some excellent workday medicine for my wife! Any chance those purple petioles will turn green again; or do they stay purple once they go purple? Since I started growing again I have yet to finish a plant without some purple stems.
