Indoor Some advice from experienced auto growers please

Hi guys, loving this site by the way!!!
I have done 4 or 5 auto grows and all were pretty average. Buds not very dense . I grow in a 8 x 4 tent under 600w multi spectrum in cool hood, in coir Coco.
I'm just going to fire some questions out there.

1. What size pot do you recommend?
2. Anyone use canna products and can help me with a feeding schedule. I know there is a canna guide but just need % and what to use and when?
3. CFL eco bulb for veg?
4. When to change to 600w?
5. Should i use calmag?
6. Lst or scrog?
7. Light height, roughly as i know this changes?
8. Good seeds for potent dense bugs?

Probably a load more too!!! If anyone can help it would be very much appreciated

I would go with 2 or 3 gallon. I use smart pots. I start out once a day watering work up to three times a day. I do not know much about your lighting I use LED COBs.

Are you cutting your coco with anything? Perlite? Vermiculite? LST works well for me (I have started topping as well and is working great) Definitely increases yield. In my grow in my signature I grew two norther lights using the same method one was super dense tightly packed buds. The other was very fluffy buds, but they were covered in so much frost it was sick.

@budelee has a great thread on all kinds of LST and training. I am pretty sure it is in the new growers forum.

I know I didn't answer all your questions but someone will come along soon I am sure. If you check my sig my first indoor grow is on there. A lot of good info because I screwed up a lot and bunch of good people stepped in with advice.

I do use perlite, but probably not enough. I've read people put a couple of inches at the bottom then 50 50 or 60 40? I use a 600w hps in a cool hood. Just wondering if i should use CFL for veg?

I eyeball it I say mine is 70/30 but i do not measure it is an eyeball calculation the more perlite you use the more you will need to water due to better drainage. I like more watering I think it contributes to bigger plants. Some people run just straight coco. In the solo cup contest that is just finishing up i filled the bottom of the cup with perlite. It was more for drainage than anything. Experiment a little with your medium you will figure out what you like.

Temperature control has definitely been an issue. Going to get a small thermostatic oil filled radiator.
