Anyone ever attempt to run DWC in a solo cup? Could you make it through flower without the roots overtaking the cup and no room for much water?

I think i've seen others try it but can't find the threads at the moment - I think the roots may need to eventually be outside the solocup - not sure if they can be contained!

Link me up if you get one going - i'll sub up for the show!! :D

Thanks for the link! I was searching but apparently I didn't look good enough.

I have a Twenty20 Triks at day 15 in a solo. I just started a thread for a different plant, do you guys prefer to just have one thread for each grower? I was thinking about adding my other grows to that thread but wasn't sure.

I ran a Gelato Auto in a 1gal and it rocks out beautifully! Only downside is constantly having to water. A good rootball and she will still want to drink almost a gal. a day. 3 watering a day to keep her happy. In a 2x2 with some training you can fill her up with a 1 gal.

I attempted Wicked solo cups which basically turned into DWC as the roots escaped.

Think by nature a DWC grow is not going to be what they call a proper solo cup grow as it was explained to me that the roots have to stay contained in the solo cup. I tried it again with only 4 holes in the bottom of one cup and had it sitting in another cup. Checked it each evening and if a root started to escape I left it sitting out over night which essentially air pruned that root tip back..

I want to try something with this one I have in a small nursery pot,

it's currently sitting in the top of a cut lucozade bottle with water in it.
