Ok so I have been fighting this problem since I first started. I tried roots 707 I tried making my own super soil and did so with instructions from @Pops. And when that didn't work I went to my garden store and talk to them about the problem and they sent me home with Sohum super soil ph between 6.2-6.8. And I checked right out of the bag soil was right on point on day one. Here I am 2 weeks later and soil is now 7.5-8 and wont go back down. I haven't added anything to the soil except some Gnatrol wdg and I always water with between ph 6-7 witch it says to do so on the bag so as to not mess up the soil ph. Everything I have is dying or stunted and I'm really ready to just cut my losses and trash this stuff before it costs me more time and money. Take a look at my grows and let me know what you think cuz I'm stumped. I've been doing this for almost a year and I have not harvested a single bud.

Hit me up if you wanna get into coco. there is no super short "do tell" so don't be mad if i don't write you half a book rn.

I will be making an educational growlog very shortly in my "Get growing for 100 bucks" project, which might interest you. I have all the pieces but just need to assemble them. The progress of that assembly I'll update here: https://www.autoflower.org/threads/taproot-pruning-experiment-baby.62079/

pop a thread in the infirmary,i know a few soils have been known to drop ph badly even when watered with correct ph.could some brands drift high ? bad luck its just the brands you tried.
im other side of pond, never heard of those brands.
good luck.

It's gotta be your water, bro. Try bottled water. What are you measuring your soil pH with btw? Maybe try hitting your soil with one of the many microbes/fungus/bacteria supplements like Great White, Recharge, Mammoth P, Oregonism, etc. A healthy living soil should be able to deal with a fair range of pH.

They also say not to adjust pH with the usual stuff like GH pH up/down. Not sure what you're using. You've gotta use something natural like citric acid. Try Earth Juice crystals.

Your soil pH is high to start. Your watering with water that is ph'd too high, and locking out nutrient uptake of the plants.

Standard soil grow with common nutrients, should be between 5.8 and 6.2 (ish) unless using a calcium based nutrient line.

I think a pH of 6.5 is ideal for soil. 5.8-6.2 sounds more like ranges for coco.

Sorry, was taught from 5.5 to 6.5 decades ago, have always shot for 6, never had an issue there.... would also suggest that strain also may play a small part, just as it does with lighting etc.
