SeedBank :
I bought these beans back in the Summer of 2008 and after searching all my records I can only see that they came from Dope-Seeds.Com and I cannot find the seedbank so unfortunately I don't know and cannot assume.

Strain:
Snow Ryder

Did it autoflower?:
Yes. Between 30-35 days for females. Males showed almost a week earlier in back to back runs.

Soil/hydro:
Soil -- 1st Run started in Scott's EarthGro Organic from Wal-Mart. 2nd run Fox Farms Ocean Forest.

Nutes:
Humboldt Nutrients Organic Program -- Grow Natural, Bloom Natural, Honey ES(extra strength), & Deuce Deuce (0-0-22). Alternated Molasses with pH'd water between feedings.

Light (kind and schedule):
1st run started under 150W HPS, 3rd week in upgraded to 400W HPS. 20/4 Light Regimen.

From seed to harvest date:
Between 9-10 weeks.

Dry Yield: Grams
18 -32 grams in each run. I had to correct that -- both runs yielded about this amount.

High/Effect Duration (how long did effects last):
Super Heady High that hit you right behind the eyes and top of head first and fast. Energetic then smooths out to almost a zoning out. Energetic then relaxing. Mild to Moderate effects. Lasted for 1/2 hour to 45 mins. Not the strongest of strains. Wish it lasted longer. Good social smoke. Goes well with music and playing instruments. Not strong enough for insomia. However, good day smoke or sitting and chatting smoke. Would love to grow again and try Short Stuff's Line. Out of 10 seeds 6 Females, 2 Males and 2 Hermis. One was a Mutant that I chopped. Other I plucked 4 pollen sacks off, never saw any more & she still gave decent smoke.

SNOW RYDER 3.JPGExcellent Bag Appeal... Very dense tight nugs. Grapefruity/Cat piss smell. Dank Nuggs.

THE GROWth: * to *****

1st run a 3 2nd run 4 but I would hava done better if it wasn't my 1st grow.

THE SMELL: * to *****

Not my most favorite smell. While growing it smelled better but again that was my fault. Would love to grow this again with better experience.

THE SMOKE: * to *****

Smooth, not harsh. Mine didn't really have a pot taste but again I put that on me not the strain. Burned white ash, evenly in a doobie. Burned pretty slow.
THE HIGH: * to *****

Wished it had lasted longer. Just when it was getting REALLY good it's like it topped off. Like a car that won't go faster than 65mph and you're wanting to cruise at 80mph lol Lacks the longer staying power of Assassin for instance.

Overall I was very happy with it being my first auto grow. I think it's a very easy strain to grow -- they like organics for sure -- they handle the higher/full doses of Humboldt Nutrients well. Took a bit longer to sex than the strains I have growing now. (AA, PE, & HBD) They do very well started in Fox Farms Ocean Forest. I would love to come back to this strain a year from now and see if there are drastic differences between this grow and that one. Basically all had the same phenotype... One main cola with some bottom branching... At least two other main colas off the sides. Didn't get any other type of pheno than that... Highly recommended for first time growers. I burnt the sh*t out of my 1st run because I fed before sex showed (I didn't know then) and still managed to get a POM nomination out of it lol SO they are extremely hardy plants for an Auto!

I woudlnt be too sure about that haha had my ass chewed on because i said something honest about one of my grows if people werent scared of being called noob and that they suck more people would lol... Anyway WVR nice write up the best time of the year for you? harvest i bet that feels good never had to harvest before but i can imagine how estatic you are lol happy for you and the stuuf about the nutes helps me ive been giving full strength to my AKR for 2 weeks now evrything except the honey es.

Thanks Glaucoma! :smokebuds:

Hey ILI, Thanks a lot bro! Yeah I realize now they need full Deuce Deuce right as soon as they flower. I use the Honey ES once a week at a rate of 1 Teaspoon per gallon. I don't feed every time either... I went back to every other time and in between just pH'd water and 1 Teaspoon of Molasses per gallon. Are you feeding every time? Glad I could help bro, hope my hiccups with the nutes didn't screw you up in the process!

I need to get caught up in your grow. I know what you mean about getting jumped for being honest -- I was a criminal of that once... I jumped DBW for something stupid and didn't mean too. Didn't feel good afterwards and I've learned to respect other people's opinions and not be so quick to defend mine. We all have opinions and shouldn't be afraid to express them in fear of being attacked. Not very AFN of me.

So anyway back to the subject I felt it wasn't necessary to blame everything but me for what went wrong. The first grow is a learning experience and you learn from your mistakes. The plant did nothing wrong so that's why I'm going to grow it again after becoming what I consider an experienced grower (after I have run my method for a few harvest with it basically on cruise control and have no issues). I know it can be better and stronger with a better, stronger grower! :D It took all my crap and still came out a winner!

Great review WVR, thanks for sharing it with us.
