Heat is on in this town and i need better scent control or ima see a cell for a long time

Tell us a little about your setup and someone will be able to help you much better.

No need to tell us your set up..use a good carbon filter and all will be safe

Yeah biggest carbon can u can afford or ozone genny. Ozone exhaust not room or u will have no smell buds.

Use camoflage smells like a compost or stinky paint or some such to hide the smell, I prefer mint outside my window, carbon filters don't work so well when it rainy or wet

What do you mean by rainy or wet??? Your fan/filter combo should never get wet, electricity does not work well with water.

Actually, yes. Knowing a set up helps us help them. More info always leads to a better choice. Sometimes there are better options than a carbon filter.

I'm drawing reference to how the carbon filters block up in high humid conditions, the water blocks the effectiveness of carbon as a filter...

That's usually only the case in sustained humidity levels of over 70%; in which case the water molecules begin to get stuck in the microscopic valleys in the activated carbon, which slowly diminishes the life of the carbon over time. But you are correct, high humidity will effect the longevity of the carbon.

In a situation like this; a dehumidifier could greatly help out.

josh63br4,

Here's a guide that got started for Odor Control & Reduction methods; work in progress but it might help give you some ideas on what options are out there available to you and your setup.

If you let us know the details on your setup; we can help you get your odor problems under control!

It is customary for moderators to try and help anyone they can so there is always the best available advice on the site. They are a great crew with lots of experience. Why are you calling out moderators when you seem to be the one replying to multiple old posts?

is it customary on this site, for 3 moderators to post in support of an initial members post in this case by josh63br4 on October 2013 5 months ago ....?

it is also assumed tho not necessary that at least some moderators have some growing experience as well?

 Ahhhhh caught with our pants down! I don't think any of us even caught the original date this was created haha! Ahhhh good stuff vostok. That being said, if isn't your comment the very idiom of the pot calling the kettle black (if I may say so?) I mean, you are the one that necro'd a 4 1/2 month old thread? What do you say we call it a good laugh?

All of our moderators have plenty of experience in the areas they assigned to. If you have any questions, any of us would be more than happy to help you out with your grows or direct you to the appropriate help, vostok! We also have the AFN 24/7 Live Help Thread, which you can get quick answers on if you have a quick growing question!

That being said; considering the original poster never responded again and only has a post count of 1, you're all more than welcome to draw whatever conclusions you want and can probably in good faith let this thread die.

Thank you and have a wonderful day! :Sharing One:

I gotta say here and now, I never trust a guy who posts a single post and we never hear from them again. This is an example. Josh, Where are you? Why post a valid question then not bother to follow it up.
I welcome many introductions which I am dubious about ( such as Medic1 ) I do worry about how many post are REALLY genuine. They may well be all OK. But we have to be vigilant don't we ?
I gotta be honest, if I was a cop, I would check out these forums and maybe probe occasionally!
Be careful out there. eP.
