My preference for middle ground is the 5 gallon smart pot. That is kind of my "sweet spot". I also have 3, 7 and 10 gallon smart pots as well.

That's what I was gonna order but IDK how much soil I'll need lol I don't wanna buy less than what I need. How much soil would u figure for 3 5 gal smart pots ??

I use [HASHTAG]#10[/HASHTAG] airpots which are ten gallon equivalent. But I have been using them long enough to see just how much a typical auto uses. In an airpot the roots will usually prune before they ever reach the bottom of the pot. So after seeing how much in the [HASHTAG]#10[/HASHTAG] airpot they weren't using I simply decreased the soil to optimum. Which for me is probably about 6 gallons. So when I fill partially fill, my container is actually a little shorter and wider than most. Good for me to help control height and my plants do get pretty wide. A mature plant is about 2x2 feet (2 ft diameter.) Just because you buy a big pot doesn't mean you have to use all of it.

3.8 Litre = 1 US Gallon...
For soil 1 cubic ft around 30L.
Pot size depends on your space and how many plants you want in the space...15L (4Gal) seems a good size.
Smaller pots will also need more frequent watering..
Good luck

I followed TaNgs beginners kit ( my new nickname for it ) and went with the 15L airport, pack is expensive but worth it.

In flowering, watering twice a day is simple and easy. That is the only reference I have to share. But it hasn't been a chore, like @Duggy said, smaller will lean towards more watering down the road and maybe sooner then you may want!
