..i think

i am ordering new nutes, general hydroponics grow bloom and micro but theres two choices for the micro hard and soft. im not sure on what my water is as i cant find any records online etc. is it safe to assume i should get the hardwater version if im planning to be using tap water? i know it depends on location and source but is it almost always hard and soft is just for people using RO water and such?

cheers any help appreciated just wanna make an order and this has me stuck.

well if you don't have a meter to know what you're starting with as far as ppms in your "tap" water. and if you did, you still won't know what those solids consist of. beware that tap water may have unwanted levels of metals or chlorine added by municipalities that pump it to the communities. if you have a testing place around that could tell you whats in it, it would help you alot. a nearby hydro/grow store can tell you your ppm's, just bring a jar in with you. ultimately you're going to need a good meter or two. for a minimum at least have ph drops or strips. if you test that you can use your tap water, it would be hard water. R/O is the best in my opinion for any grower....hard water also. good grow vibes to you bgrt.

hey bud, yeh this order also includes ph tester and some other stuff that might have been helpful in finding out. theres not really anythingaround here thats the problem. i have grown using the same water before and plants grew well and healthily, im sure its not the best water but just that it is safe enough to not harm anyway. i cannot afford any other water at the moment so it will have to do for now. ill order the hardwater version till i can anyway.
cheers for the help and for the vibes
