I enjoy the growing aspect of this hobby as much as anyone. However, I also really like spreadsheets and tracking numbers for my grows. It's especially rewarding to see how much less I can produce my medicine for than what it's being sold for commercially. That being said, below are my numbers and if anyone else is doing something similar, I'd love to see yours!

Grow Cost

As a note, in my area prices are, on average, $12.57/g ($351.96/oz).

A few additional notes on my numbers.

First, the material costs. The first grow contains my initial set up costs (tent, fan, etc.) and a DIY off-the-shelf LED bulb light. That was in place for the first two grows until a flooded basement took out everything. Thankfully insurance covered replacements for everything, but I also decided to upgrade my light, hence the large material cost for the third grow.

Electricity costs are somewhat conservative in that I use the full rating for the fan and light and don't reduce that if I'm operating at a reduced percentage (rarely do with the light, often do with the fan).

Finally, seed cost is $0 as I've been fortunate enough to get a lot of free seeds from Seeds for Vets.

Also, I do not factor in watering costs as water is so inexpensive (0.004 cents/gallon) that it wouldn't impact the results at all.

It looks to me that your first yield payed for your expenses. The other three being straight profit.
pretty damn good return on investment. I’d pump them numbers.

I paid $60/oz when I was a kid living near Humboldt County back in pioneer days. That's a great price for good bud! Heck, that's a good price for bad bud.
