These leaves on the buds have turned brown. Should I trim them off or let them be for now. Week 12 from seed. Only 1 of my plants is doing it. Not sure why.

Looks like a pH issue. What medium/temp/humidity/source water/ec are you running at?

It won't help to remove them but something is wrong.

ffof soil, dry amendments for nutes, temps are 75-80f. Humidity is 45-55%, water is bottle spring water. Ph to 6.5 but i have a cheap ph meter so could be the issue. I don’t test EC

Have you done a slurry test?

Your humidity could be more consistent, above 50% is ideal with your temps. Reference the VPD chart below. If it gets too dry and hot then water uptake increases and could lead to burned tips. It looks like a pH issue but without a slurry test I can't say for sure but your environment being inconsistent can definitely cause problems.

Cheap pH meters are what the Feds sell to growers to ensure they have very little success. I suggest an HM Digital, Hannah, or Apera meter in the future. Bluelab is okay but I've seen too many failures lol.

I think I might be on to something, I just realized that you should not let your plant soak back up the run off. I have been doing this the whole grow. Who knows what my PPM is, lol. My next grow will go way smoother now im learning so much.

I just watered and collected the run off to dump out. It was a brown color

You definitely should not do that. I'm a culprit of it but a slanted house does wonders lol.

The first couple of years I was growing I would make a checklist after each harvest along with a buy list. Those list save my grows more often than not cause they correct mistakes while giving me a clearer direction of the how/why of my space and time. I set my supply orders, reservoir changes, meter calibrations, etc. by these so when a problem occurs I locate it quickly.

The grow journals are great because other people are available to give feedback in areas another grower may lack but a personal log is invaluable in it's own way.
