Debating on cutting these 2 so that the vegetation under them can get more light. Good idea or ahould I let the whole plant get bigger?

My personal opinion I would leave. Those Fan Leaves help the plant absorb the light and produce energy for the plant to thrive. I would personally wait until the plant goes into flower or at least finishes its stretch before performing any defoliation. Some minor training like Tieing the plant over some will help expose light to the plant with out pulling leafs.

she’s looking good

Thanks, its ILGM Banana Kush Auto. I think I will wait then.

I would hard tuck and, the next set will be more in the way. If you bend the plant over there will be more light penetration and when I do that sometimes i remove the one fan sticking up.

That plant is small and still establishing it's root system. There is no need to really do anything but make sure your environment and watering habits are on point.

Lights have a certain amount of penetration to them and for a plant under 2ft in veg I don't see a reason to do anything. Light requirements in veg are low, between 15-20 DLI whereas in flower it increases to 30-40.

I understand the thought process but it's pointless for such a small plant. I would not even consider those mature fan leaves. People fuck with their plants too much rather than handling their environment/sanitation/irrigation practices that ultimately mean more than training or defoliation. Defoliation helps with limiting micro climates that could create spaces for fungus/pest/pathogens especially if air circulation is not adequate but does not improve yields or necessarily improve light hitting the plant.
