Dutch Passion seymour-buds with the solar system 550

gonna start this thread and try and relate it to the review of the solar system 550...

been using these lights for a good few months now and cant really fault them..ive got 1 in veg and 1 in flower...

the panel in veg is set to run at 70% blue and 30% red while the 1 in bloom is set at full power

ill be using my own strains although their is a dutch passions orange hill alongside my strawberry sour diesel and tangie ghost train haze in the bloom room at present...

in the veg tent ive got cookies and cream .. somas amnseia... and my favoured blues/livers...

I'm subbed Seymour. I've been wondering if the modern led systems live up to 600W HPS. I've tried (el cheapo) leds a few years ago but they didn't penetrate the canopy enough. Photoperiods were simply to tall. Autofems went OK but not spectacular either. But... That was a few years ago...

intresting point about the 600 watt hps vs 400watt led... penetration isnt a problem its more to do with footprint..

3watt diodes are quite strong so you do need a good distance between the canopy and light...

a test i would like to see is the distance chart vs footprint of a solarsytem 550 vs 600watt hps in par and the amount lost and gained in each light.. im pretty sure it would be close... but which light is giving you more bang for your buck...

currently got a 550 over 3 plants...

Well, the plants look great! Nice and green. I used to have my 600w's (720w overdriven) at about 50/60 cm from the upper canopy. At what distance do you have your 550 at? [emoji4]

ive got the panels about 1mtr in my bloom room and easily over a meter in my veg tent

in the veg room ive got

clone only blues/livers.. not in the pic

the light is set at 70% blue with 30%red .. ive noticed the plants stay more squat under this spectrum

gonna flip the cookies and cream on her nxt res change although the ammy is also ready

could easily plant these outdoors at this size and let nature do it

Indeed, luscious green leaves! And a see what you mean with the squatting of the internodes. I'd expect that haze to shoot for the stars by now.
