I have been putting this PC case together over the last month or so and should be ready to use it within the next few days... Exciting times! I am using my old gaming PC for this, was looking at it sat under my desk for the last 3-4 months and thought if done right it could have been providing me some bud that whole time without anyone knowing...
Goal for this is to be able to provide me with a months worth of bud to save me having to buy any.. I have also always loved the thought of growing my own. My long term goal is to be able to pull 1oz + from this as that would last me a month. I was inspired by Mr Sparkle and Blynx over at icmag.. Mr Sparkle has the cleanest and most amazingly made PC cases and Blynx is a micro growing god that pulled 90g dry from 1sqft!! I plan to LST/Scrog to get the most out of my space.
This is my first ever grow so please excuse the stupid questions!
The strain I have picked is Sour Hound by Mephisto Genetics.
Case specs -
Dimensions to follow this evening
DIY carbon filter
DIY LED light using Bridgelux EB series hard strips
Passive intake
Things that need done before I can start -
- Waiting for a PC fan to USB cable for my outtake fan as my fan controller only uses USB
- Got my LED strips on the frame and wired up to each other but need to connect the driver this evening and test it
-Need to figure out some way to secure the light to the case, originally was going to use light hangers but even though they are small they do take up a bit of room so will be seeing what I can do once the light has been tested.
Touch wood I should be able to sort this within the next few days although I am working until 20:00 this week so will have to wait and see how much I can get done...

Case after a partial stripdown -
After stripping out the HDD cage and power supply. Must have removed no less that 30 rivets holding the thing together and it was not fun... Couldn't rotate this pic for the life of me so apologies for that..-
As you can see, when you strip the case it leaves a lot of holes that components etc used to fill, was struggling to find something to use to block them up and came across some car sound deadening stuff. Rubber ish material that sticks to most things so took each panel and covered it in this stuff and then put some mylar over the top. Put case back together and went over the seams with alu tape and this is the end result. I appreciate it does not look that tidy but the allu tape just creases up so this is the best I could do... -
Will make a separate post for the DIY carbon filter build and also the LED light.
