Hi all and of course :welcome:
Firstly i have to say a huge :thanks: to @Seedstockers-Mark and to my good friend and mentor @St. Tom for arranging this little shindig :pighug:
This will be about my fourth solo cup grow, and as with most of my grows, I have had some good ones, some bad ones and some I'd rather not talk about :crying:
So as to how these will turn out, only time will tell.
So let's get to it :smoking:

Germination
For germination I went for the straight to Root Riot method.
I soaked the root riot cubes in a jug of water and cal/mag, then squeezed as much of the solution out, then with a pair of tweezers I put seeds in. I did cut a few cm from the bottom of each root riot cube, just so they would fit in a small tupaware tub. Then I put the tub on my TV box till I saw a little movement, then I switched them to my cheap little germination box thing, it has a little more room.

On the 4th day they both popped out together :woohoo1:

Then I transferred them to their new homes

I've given them a day or so to get a bit of colour in their cheeks before calling it day one.

As you can see, one is slightly taller than the other. That is because I'm going to be growing them slightly differently :yoinks: I'm trying to get a little stretch going with one, so I have one at the normal ish height and the other is on the floor, and getting barely any light, as my tent fuller than a bishops ballbag at the moment

Today
Day 4

At the moment I'm feeding them with a light cal/mag and seaweed mix and I'll start them on a proper grow feed in a couple of days or so

Day 7
Not much happening at the moment, but they are looking happy enough :toke: although, the 2nd set of leaves on the shorter one are looking a little deformed at the moment :yoinks:

I've decided to change nutrients for this grow. I've had a 2lb trial bag of Megacrop sitting in the cupboard for the past 18 months, but I've been too frightened to try it :crying: I've only ever used GHE Flora Trio, so it's going to be a complete change to what I know, but I thought sod it, I'll give it a go. What could go wrong
I will start them on it tomorrow and we'll see what happens.

Babies looking good hon!
That is SO funny. I have only used MegaCrop, but had the GH Flora Trio here but have been afraid to try it.
I decided to bite the bullet and give it a go this time with my Wedding Glue Solo ladies.
What could go wrong?

Megacrop is pretty decent plus manogreen has got some great charts made up using it so any issues im pretty sure he can help iron them out

Hahaha that is funny  I've grown some decent ish Solo Cup girls with the GHE so you should be ok  I usually just follow the feed chart on the bottles, but half of what it says to give is usually good enough. Plus with the Trio, it's a little easier to adjust strength, so you can't go wrong :pass:

That's good to know mate cheers :d5: that definitely might come in handy, as at the moment I don't even know if you have to use Cal/Mag or not :crying:

They are doing ok, not growing as quickly as I'd hoped, but it's still early days.

The funky leafed one isn't looking as bad now thankfully :headbang: although I haven't seen her next set of leaves yet, but hopefully they'll be a little less deformed.
