Seeds?!

Hi.
I'm a bit confused. Got me 10 regular MI5 beans and was planning to create a few thousand seeds. Leave them to do their thing i thought. Simple. But i have
stumbled on different info. On the one hand i have read that if one selects the very finest offspring from the 1st batch of seeds for future mi5 seed-runs then one can have a continuous seed
source forever, but on the other hand i have read that this weakens the gene pool after the 1st generation of seeds? Of course that theoretically means that the 10-pack of seeds i recieved are a disaster waiting to happen as those seeds are the 1st generation and if i try and get seeds now and in the future then i'm gonna get weaker and weaker seeds?
Have googled this to death but keep getting unclear info.(Going round and round here)
A friend of mine just grows a pack of mixed auto regulars together. Sure, she gets frankinsteins and cross-dressers and hermies, but she also gets the odd beauty and she says the gene pool will never weaken given all the different strains.
Be a great help if someone who knows about mi5s and its gene-seed path
can help me here.

If you baught a ten pack of regular mi5 beans you dont have F1 stock...... I think, and i say think , those are closer to F6 or 7 +, what ever you do with those beans, are gonna give you good genetics......breed them and breed them hard...Then if you have the time, do some pheno chasing for personal gain?

Thanks man. Yes i bought the short stuff 10-pack from herbies(hocus pocus. Norfolk) I paid extra for next day delivery and they arrived pronto!
Ah, i forgot about f6 f7 etc. Sadly i have had a bumpy ride on my 1st day here. Logged off but afn did not recognize me trying to log back in?? Used the same pass word, (written clearly in front of me) and no cap lock issue or key sensitive etc so i am now mancini "2".
Yeh, silly me, f7 can become f8 f9 f10 etc etc with the strain becoming more and more stable.
Would like to know where the "you can have great plants from the 1st generation of seeds but one cannot then use that generation for a seed run as you'll get weak plants" . .came from.(Got that from rollitup or thctalk)
Oh well, should'nt really be smoking super silver haze when trying to form serious questions.
Stitch is my hero so it could'nt be right him selling me n everyone duds. Oh, one last question, stumbled on a link awhile back on google that had pictures (from a mag i think) and it showed an mi5 seed run whereby the males were cut down and their stems placed in water and over the coming days the pollen was knocked outta them and it went on to explain how to pollinate the females etc. Does anyone know that link please? As i'm planning on doing an mi5 seed run it would be wonderful to find it again. Oh well (puff puff) Man this SSH really is a buscuit tin full of stars . .. . .Yeh,. . . . . . . .
