Lights: t5 4 foot 4 bulb
Light schedule:24/7
5 gallong smart pots
temp: 84 or so after i removed the fan.
I sprayed water all around the seeds yesterday so the soil by them is moist.
Its been 8 days+ 1 day of cup of water method germinating till the seeds cracked, and i still don't see any sprouts. Do you think they will sprout?
I planted them like half an inch deep. Im starting to get worried, i really hope the seeds sprout. Do you think they will pop out of the soil?
Watering: 2/3 of a water bottle per pot, then spray the surface every other day. and today i water the a little bit too. Do you think there is any hope for them or are they not going to make it?

dont water them untill the soil is dry a few cm down as the bottom soil will still be realy wet.... Did you wait for the tap root to show around half/ an inch long before sowing in the soil?

They could still sprout but it will take longer for the roots to hit the bottom so take longer to sprout their heads... Have you moved some soil away to see what there doing if not try having a look or even just have the tinyist amount of soil on top of them:peace: Si

Hmmm none have popped up and out. This sounds like a grower error.

After your germ process and your seeds had cracked, was there a tap root showing by at least a few mm's? Sounds like your overdoing the watering. Once you water your pot of soil and plant your seedling, you shouldn't water again for a further 3-4 days as it retains enough moisture for the seed to begin it's life. I plant around 2cm's into soil and cover top with soil slightly. Have you tried what si1984 and have a look by slowly moving the soil that's over the seeds?

Here's a pic reference of what mine look like (4 smallest ones) 4 days from germ

I planted them when they all slightly cracked open. I moved some soil to the side of the pot from the middle, but i think i might mess-up if i try to move the dirt to see the seeds, do you think i should do that or be better off just letting them be in the soil. And thanks for the info. Do you think they will eventually sprout though?

After the germ process they only cracked open slightly. And i moved some dirt to the side. Do you think i should do anything else? Do you think the seeds might be dead or they'l eventually come up.

You should of allowed for the root to grow out a little before placing it into the soil. Your only option is to check unfortunately by slowly moving the soil. Your 9 days into germ and that's long enough to show signs by now.

I think I'm going to give it a few more days, if i check the seeds, would i be risking their lives? Im going to try that in a few days though thanks for the info.

You won't cause any harm unless you physically stress the seed by picking it up etc and playing around with it.

Ok guys, i lifted up the soil and i couldn't even find the seed, what do you guys think happen ? i really messed this time up. I have 5 inch square pots. And I'm about to try all over again, i have three seeds: mazar/white shark and some bag seeds. Before i start this and probably mess up again, id like to ask you guys how i should start. I plan on put the seeds in a cup of water for germination, but how long do you guys think i should keep the seeds in the water, til they crack slightly? or even longer than that till the taproot come out . Then i plan on planting them in the 5 inch pots, with root organic, and i have some light warrior soil. I plan on re using the soil, i have some extra soil, but not that much. I don't have a heating mat, I'm kind of on a budget but I'm probably going to have one for my next grow. So, once i have the seeds in the 5 inch pots about 1/4 inch deep, where should i put it? In my tent, or are there any betters spots, like by the window. Some tips and step by step info would be really great, so i can try my best to get the seeds going. Thanks for any info, ill be checking for responses and if i feel I'm ready to go I'm probably going to start germination today.

I had the same problem afew times. I like to play with bag seeds on the side of the brand name strains to see a comparasion in vigorous early growth with them always besting the brand name gear uptill first set of true leaves then I pull them out. One pot I had afew bag seeds in and they didnt pop so I searched the first few inches down and couldnt find them. the strain plant died later on so I restirred and added new strain seed. Then random seedlings were popping up, one recent one I pulled out and it appeared to have grown all the way from almost bottom of pot to surface but used all its energy and had no true leaves, 2mm of roots shooting and a approx 3inch stem trying hard haha.

1/4 deep is okay, I've had suggested to me 3/4 deep is fine. Also I find fat seeds have more of a chance at a good start.
