Probably a silly question but...

I overfed a plant and it hermied. I flushed it and corrected the feed, left it to finish and obviously it produced a shed load of seeds. My question is will those seeds be the same as the mom i.e. feminised or will they become just regular? Also, will they be more liable to hermie?

I had a quick search but couldn't find an answer

They will be exact copies of mom, but with a higher tendency to hermie.

:welcome: btw to AFN. Lot's of info to be found and loads of nice people to help you out :toke:

Cheers for that, it's pretty much what I assumed. I may keep them for future use as I'm stocked up on genuine ones at the moment. With prices at £7+ it may save me some money long-term and I'll just keep my eyes open for the dangly bits .

Growing G13Labs Gigabud, does exactly what it says on the tin.

Wouldn't it be better to say, "They [i.e., the genetic content of seeds from a plant self-cross] will be exact copies of mom, with the same genetic predispostion or tendency to hermie." Presuming genetics in a self-cross remain constant (as expected/usual), how/why would the offspring seeds be different from "mom," such as have "higher tendency to hermie?" [You can't have "exact copies" passed on yet expect a different "tendency to hermie"].

Isn't [and I'm presuming that] hermie induction is primarily due to environmental factors, with tendency to hermie genetics-based and rather constant across closely-related flowering plant species and strains?
