I harvested an autoflower plant about a month ago. A few of the buds turned hermaphrodite and I collected 6 seeds when I was trimming everything up.

Will these seeds also be autoflower?
Will these seeds be feminized?
Or, is it all a crapshoot - just plant to see what comes up?

Depends why it hermied? If its genetics more than likely it would be a hermi again, if not you may get a female. I wouldnt grow them unless you had no other seeds, but thats just me.

As @Mcdee said it would depend on why it became a hermaphrodite. If it was crappy genetics or stress then most likely garbage in, garbage out and you will have more issues. If it was due to rodelization then they will most like be feminized autoflowers, but may still be prone to hermaphroditization. I would not waste electricity on them but I can always find a place in the outdoor garden for them. Be sure to keep an eye on them because just a sac of pollen can screw up your garden and your neighbors for acres around you. :smoking:

Hey mate,

I was in the exact same situation as you are. I had few seeds from my first grow (NLA from RQS). They were so big, litteraly stuck to my led. I think that made them produce those seeds.

Today, the plant is 66 days, growing like a beast, pistils at the branches level but not yet in tops. I've flipped her yesterday to 12/12 (got 2 autos there too doing the final sprint) because for me the autos genes had suffered a bit + when i grew the plants which gave me this seed (my first grow) they took 4 months, with a lazy flowering attitude.

From my perspective, you won't be able to know if they will be auto, neither if they will be ladies, unless you make them grow. So if you got some other beans and you are ok to test it, go for it and fucking analyze her everyday and be mentally prepared to kill a male / hermie or wait for the ripening (4 months if not auto but with lots of weed) or grow a nice auto plant (learn a lot, smoke a lot).

And if you are an outdoor guy i'd say 100% put them in the ground !

Well if you didn't know already some of the best genetics in the world are the result of straight up hermi action .Gorilla glue ,bubbas gift, sour diesel ,some of the og cuts look like herm possibilities.Forum cut of cookies an I believe ogkush breath was a herm as well aka lol bag seed .most Thai genetics a quite a few sativa landrace plants I've seen are either herms or herm prone .Chem dog as well is known to herm .I have grown herm plants before an even though I wouldn't use them.to breed I have gotten great cannabis off them an always female a herm won't throw a male its highly unlikely .I would say to baby them keep an eye out for sacs .

It can be a crap shoot.I have had hermies, beautiful females and plants that actually never flowered ( this was very strange even switched to12/12).Absolutely NO guarantee what you may get!In the end it is up to you capn’.
