to eventually get to a perpetual harvest? I’m 18 days from sprout on first grow and contemplating dropping 2 seeds. A little cocky maybe as I’m still not sure what I’m doing but I finally discovered a mention of “core coverage at 24 inches” so now I feel more confident in height and necessary dimming to get the best ppfd, these poor girls have been through a lot as I’m learning the whole process lol fun as hell though!

Pretty much mate, I've done the same thing myself (HPS though) but it does get tight. I bodged together a little step with two levels. Highest for the seedlings, mid for your mids, and then not on the step for your full flowers to give max light. For me that's one of the main advantages of growing autos, the single light schedule to grow from seed to smoke.

I attempted a perpetual grow with 3 plants 4 weeks apart, but it soon got out of control but I guess I had to get it out of my system. It's worth dropping $20 on a lux meter. Because you don't necessarily have to alter the heights, for example seedling don't need a lot sometime reflected light is enough. I like about 10k lux for seedlings, 25-30k for veg and 40-70k for flower.

There are some 3d printed tent pole clips/stands you can get on etsy, they help alot with seedlings. You can clip them onto the poles in the corners of your tent and they are just big enough for solo cups.

Thank you all for the ideas, really much appreciated!

See I do have a lot to learn because I would think the seedlings would be on the bottom to receive less light. Thanks again!
