Problem: Seed germinated, first leaves grew above soil but not grown any taller- still at mud level

Medium/grow method: Bio bizz light in12l fabric pots, indoor

Feed: and supplements used: Just water so far. Soilad a microbe tea added before planting

water source: Tap, sits at ph7, i reduce it down using Bio Bizz ph down

Strain/age: Sweet Seeds Jack 47, approx 1 week

light used: Migro 100+ Cob for seedling stage

Climate: Indoors, running at about 23-25 degrees pretty consistent. RH about 50-55

Additional info: Seed was soaked in water for 24 hours then into Root Riot, When it poked out of top of root riot, planted the root riot in soil. Have been adding a tiny amount of water to the root riot and surround. The first leaves are tiny, the plant has no stalk. It hasn't moved for a week. Is it still trying to get its roots out of the root riot? Will it grow or should i bin it? Is it too late to try and remove from the root riot and plant straight in the mud? This was the first time using root riot.

I think is dead mate, happened 2 of mine, it only grew abit and when I inspected it and moved it abit it came straight out it only grew down a few millimetres,
Try pull it up just a bit to see if it's rooted in,
if it's been like that over a week with no growth then it's more than likely a gonner, but I could be wrong

What's the distance between your light and the plant?
around 40 cm- they recommend 35 but it is a little higher so the the other seedlings are at right height. it is on a low setting- again as recommended by manufacturer for seedlings

i could remove the Root Riot and have a look as it is sliced all the way down already. just not sure if that will disturb any growth

Doesn't really look like it's damping off or unhappy which is strange it hasn't done anything. Most of the growth in the beginning is under the dirt obviously but never know what's going on when we can't see it. Way I see it you have two options either to ride it out and see if it makes it or if you have enough and aren't worried about it then I would also say maybe remove some dirt and have a look so you can see what if anything is happening. I have had seedlings I felt were not doing anything only to disturb dirt and find they were working away growing roots, set it back likely but I felt like I gained some insight and now I just let them go once they are up and open, things are tougher then we think sometimes. I saying that this may not be the case this time and if BEAR has seen it happen before then it definitely could be happening that way again. I always just want/need to know why I am not suggesting you made a mistake of any kind but for me I don't mind mistakes at all as long as I can understand how or why I made it so I can hopefully not do it again. I wish you good luck and hope the plants flip a switch and just go wild for you.!!! :headbang: :joy::growing:

I meant to quote this first before theasy message I am terrible for this lately

thanks for all the advices- i had a look in the root riot and it has a tap root, nothing else. So probably foolishly i have replanted it in the soil. Kill or cure... she has a week to show some progress!
