Seed run ?

I'm getting close to finishing my first grow as a seed run and i was wanting to know if weed seeds have any dormant period as many seeds do that they won't germinate.I hope not as i wanted try some outside grows shortly with my fresh seeds.

I believe it takes about 4 weeks for them to dry out and be ready, but I could be wrong.

On my first seed run I wanted to check the seeds' viability, so I took a couple right out of the growing pods about 5 weeks after pollenation and put them in soil in party cups. They both sprouted 3-4 days later. I don't know if that was a fluke or not. If you are going to store them for any length of time, you definitely need to dry them for at least a week, more if you have high humidity.

You just gave me another thing to test. I have an MI5 that will have mature seeds in a couple of weeks. I'll plant some seeds minutes after harvesting.

After i read nelsons harvesting and storing your seeds thread i asked that same question! 1 week of drying and they should be good before storing them. I dried mine over a screen placed over a dish and gave them a shake every day to dry them even. They have been off the plant maybe 2 weeks and i germed 20,17 cracked and went under dirt and over half sprouted so far.

Hey thanks for the replies,if the seeds only need a few weeks i should be good to go then as i have pulled about eighty seeds off so far before dropping off and won't be planting till june.I just didn't want to waste seeds as its been an up hill battle thru my first gro and don't want to waste the fruits of my labor.
