Second Opinion....

Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone can give me a diagnostic on this ..... One of my CHAZE girls.

what.jpg

From what I've read up etc, it looks to me like a Magnesium def.

So I've given my 3 ladies a nice shot of epsom salts (tsp) per gallon.

Is this right ?. how long before I see a change and know it helped ?.

two out of 3 of my ladies are lighter in colour and have these spots... my other is nice and green. all 3 have been on the same nute regime.

They start off like this then it spreads into a big brown necrotic patch and the leaf dies.

Basically I have this and my lower leaves seem to be yellowing and dying off

(which I figured must be nitrogen def)

Now I initially thought it could be nute lockout, but I don't think thats possible, I'm on Day 35, and up until now I have been watering every 2-3 days with bizz grow... sttarted weak and have never exceeded 4ml in 2 litres with a teaspoon of molasses so there should be no reason for lockout / burn.

(also noticed my new growth is lighter)

my ladies have been showing sex for the past week.

what I'm thinking is that I might have been underfeeding (hence the yellowing), and I possibly should have started my bloom reg (higher - P -)

I'm kinda stumped.... New to all this and up until now everything has been going great... I've still got 50 / 60 days to go with these girls and I've invested a lot of time and cash into them, I really don't want to lose them or screw up my harvest with a stupid mistake that could have been easily rectified.

Hopefully someone can chime in here and help me out...

(you can check the grow to date on the link below for any extra info required)

**for the record I'm not a lazy grower... I didn't just come running in asking for help, I did try to work it out for myself, I'd just really appreciate a second opinion from someone more experienced...

Really! Nutrients

It doesnt need to be broken down to that level if you use good products!

simplifie! Go back to the basics! Dont listen to people on forums for advise....you might get lucky...Or not!

Get an EC meter and keep your pure water with nutrients at 1.0-1.5 PH at 5.5-6.5 temp/humidity/ oxygen/ CO2

Happy plants live with happy people!

If you are having nutrient problems its probably toxicity rather than defficiency. Most products will have everything they need If its a newer product on the market. So from someone that just wants to help, flush for a few days with pure water, pull the dead or bad leaves off and start with a milder solution.
No fight here, just love!
I wish you the best!

Mr.Evln00b..
Its kind of hard to say for sure (partially due to the picture not showing up very well on my Laptop I think,, lol),, but it looks a lot like pH issues to me.. And even though pH isnt a huge issue in soil,, I know from experience that it is possible for it to really mess things up.. lol.. Any idea what the pH is of your water,, and the pH of the run-off water is.. ?? .. Ill keep my fingers crossed for you,, youll get this figured out in no time.. !!

Much Love and Respect to you and yours.. ..

Cheers Red... I didn't grab a PH kit because I had read that PH isn't that important in soil. as far as water goes where I am it's quite soft and I don't know anyone with PH issues... I'll grab a cheap test kit.

your advice is much appreciated.

wsup evlnoob...you should take a better picture not under the light to better show the prob of your plant but what you describe sounds like cal/mag or more so ph but I would still get a better response from some others. Are you feeding nutes everytime you water? if so you should feed with nutes then water with plain water...ph'd of course. if all is getting yellow with all you said could be loclout and its not takin nitrogen because of it which could affect you cal or mag. I had 1 plant that had those same spots you talk about and couldnt figure it out 4 nothing I think it could of been the soil I used. What soil are you using? you might be able to get a ques to stitch or someone else who has grown that one to see if she is sensitve to nutes..Hope you figure it out..all da best

ohh yeah grab a ph kit...

hey evinoob i think he ment keep the ec at 1-1.5 and ph at 5.5-6.5 but any way ph is very important if the roots are not happy you won't be happy you really need a ph meter your water maybe fine but once you add your nutes the ph will change and a ph pen works better than the strips and drops and you want your ph to be between 6.4 -6.8

cheers guys... guess I'll be hitting the local hydro shop.

I'll keep you all posted !!

you can adjust your water ph with vinegar to go down and baking soda to go up
