I'm thinking of going one way or the other, I'm sure AN will yield more, but I'm wondering if going all organic with the Seas Grow will yield better smoking/tasting buds.

Has anyone done both? I'd love to get some opinions!

I've not used the Sea Grow but have used the pH Perfect. I can say that unless your source water has low ppm, below about 100, and your starting pH is reasonable, the AN won't work well. It's actually designed for use with RO water. I tried using rain water and my pH is too high and it's not able to take it low enough.

Well, I ended up going with sea grow for my inaugural autoflowering grow. I can't wait to share my progress with you guys!

i use the Sea Grow line and I love the results. I grow out of Roots Organic and my plants love it!!! The only thing I had to do was get a bottle of Cal/Mag (for my girls that need a little more cal/mag in their life), other than that from what I hear you can run an auto from start to finish with either the veg one or the flower/bloom one.
I also purchased the Avalanche bottle, and Hawaiian Bud bottle and my results have been even better.
I grew my first haze2.0 with my Fox Farms trio nutes... They did pretty well, not that plump or fat, but still ok.
This next grow, the haze2.0 im going to be harvesting any second now, was grown with my Sea Grow line + hawiian and avalanche and my buds were thicker, harder, no real noticeable deficiencies or anything. Even got nominated for Bud Picture of the Month! Which has been a goal of mine since I started autos! Next goal:: WIN! (vote for me :))

All in all, im very happy with my Sea Grow in Roots organic soil. I think you will be happy also!
*Sending some Sea Grow good karma your way*

Not only that, but the difference between organic and regular nutrients in terms of taste is highly up to interpretation.

You can take buds grown with a good-quality mineral nutrient, that have been properly flushed and so on, and tell people they're organic and they won't be able to tell the difference. When they do side-by-side tasting between organic food and non-organic food, people significantly favor the non-organic thinking it is organic because it tastes better.

I'm not saying it's universally true for MJ, but the difference between the two is a lot less than people think, and generally perpetuated only by the organic crowd. Organic or "natural" doesn't automatically mean better. There's more to it than that.

Add in the massive difference in yield you see between mineral nutrients and organic nutrients and it's just not worth it IMHO. The stigma of poorer taste caused by mineral nutrients is mostly fictional, and what truth there is is based off bad growing methods, not the nutrients.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying there's no benefit to going organic. Simply that there's more than a simple good/bad label to each method, and that there is a lot more grey-area middle ground involved.

If you're really looking to go organic, I'd say to give Advanced Nutrients' organic line a shot. They have a bunch of stuff that's 100% organic, and its all super-clean if you're running hydroponics (unlike most of the stuff out there that claims to be safe for hydroponics but clogs pumps and sprayers so fast you end up spending all your time breaking things down, cleaning them, and putting it all back together again.)
