I’m a first time grower here and I’m just wondering what auto flowers I should get that works well in our climate of SE Queensland? I’m gonna grow in my backyard in pots. Thanks for the help in advance!

@Pdiddy :welcome: Welcome to AFN :welcome:Well hell SE Queensland is a big ranch. From a search The average annual temperature is 19°C./66.2°F Summer average temperature is 24°C/75°F , in autumn and spring it is 20°C/68°F , and in winter 14°C. It looks like from late spring to early fall you have good growing conditions and most any Auto would do ok climate wise. Ideal temperatures for cannabis are from 68°F/20°F to 79°F/26°C. It will grow in much hotter but not much colder temperatures. You could extend your growing season with a greenhouse and maybe do 2 crops a year?

We have other oz peeps here :vibe:.

Heya and welcome to AFN :welcome:..... @smokeyfromau might be more help than me, I think he's down that way ...I'm central qld and have a pretty hot and dry climate most of the time so I can grow just about anything without having to worry too much about mould or br ..... autos will struggle to reach their full potential outdoors this time of year with the limited light hrs....to get any significant yield I'd wait until September to start them....if you're not near the coast and humidity isn't an issue most autos will do fine:headbang:

Planning on getting some seeds from MSNL will start them mid August. Thinking of getting some auto flower feminized caramelicious, magnum and bubblegum. There is all different info about mediums and fertilisers can you get this stuff from Bunnings. BTW I live near Ipswich so in summer can reach up to 38d and in winter can drop Down to -2d. Thanks for the help I’m a total newbie to this. But have a good garden so hopefully I’m a green thumb to this as well! Cheers for the info!

If you already know how to garden then your most the way there. Most new growers over do it with nutrients. Quality soil, don't let the pots get too wet or too dry. Watch for pests. Don't grow any Marigolds anywhere near them. They attract spider-mites.

Howdy Pdiddy , welcome to AFN . I'm in the same state but way north of you , FNQ , the other lads will be the ones to help you with temps , As far as nutrients , we have as good if not better all made here in Australia , it is all I use so I can help you there .
