OK people
I have been wondering around the forum and see lots of different scrog setups
The question is some people use bought plastic or metal mesh
some people go to the trouble of putting all those screws into frames in a measured pattern
and then weave string around to make the mesh affect
Is there any advantage to spending the time making the mesh from string ?
Or dose it not matter what it is made from ?
thanx peeps

I believe it doenst matter aslong that it doenst cut to much into the plant!

I think the advantage if you do it yourself is that the squares are not completely fixed since you just weave the string back and forth. This makes it a bit easier when you have to pull the shoots below the screen because you can enlarge a square temporarily so you don't have to bend the stems as much and risk snapping them.

PVC, Screws, Nylon string......

I'm not experinced this is my first grow but I'm using t5's and I took the time to cut the pipe drill holes every 2 inches then screwed the screws in then twisted the nylon string around the screws for about two hours of work. The question about the scrog material well I'm going to say that the nylon string needs to be pulled tight but when your tucking and moving her around under the netting the nylon will move with you so I suggest the whole pvc screw and string trick.
I made two diffrent nets before I gave in and settled for the nylon string, one was a chicken coop cage rol. I took wire cutters and made bigger square holes, but that left sharp pieces every where. Then I tried watching a video on how to make the net out of nylon string and ties to were it actually looked like a cargo net, well that one was cool looking plus it took me an hour to tie all those knots but it wasn't tight enough. I found some construction rebar fencing looking stuff and if you dont have a tool to cut into the space you hav to work with your back at square . Sorry for the story but I am using it now and its workn good. Hope you get somethin ft.
